eCommerce Merchandiser

I currently work as an eCommerce Merchandiser for Fox Racing. I work directly with marketing, planning, wholesale, finance, and product teams. I am responsible for executing marketing strategies as well as make suggestions for marketing based on sales and how our consumer is navigating the site. I also upload all product each season, categorize, apply filter attributes, and merchandiser to create the best possible user experience to ultimately drive sales.

I’ve worked in the retail buying field for 6 years for TJX Companies. I started with the company as a temp and worked my way up to Senior Merchandise Assistant (most retailers consider this an Assistant Buyer role). I also spent a year as an Allocation Analyst with TJX.
I ended my TJX career by working directly with the buying team and our vendors. I analyzed sales data to make recommendations to the buying team, shop competitors, manage the OTB, attended vendor appointments, managed purchase orders and deadlines, and was in constant communication with everyone from Planning to Product Development to Transportation.

 o Currently the sole merchandiser for the US and Canada Fox Racing websites, while leading an E-Commerce Coordinator and our Barcelona merchandisers
o Supports the campaign content calendar by partnering with cross-functional team members in Digital Marketing, Brand, and Planning
o Partners with the DMM and Retention Manager to provide insight on products and/or campaigns to focus on
o Creates, manages, and executes product and seasonal stories using a variety of data
o Responsible for executing start to finish setup of all product assortment for the site, including confirming accurate product
imagery, confirming product inventory, updating navigation filters, assigning product attributes, categorization, uploading copy,
product data uploads, reviewing default colors, and site QA
o Maintains product data and makes recommendations to improve filter and site navigation to drive conversion
o Partners with the photo studio, marketing, and buying teams on campaign initiatives, content planning, and product features o Attends eCommerce photo shoots to ensure correct digital assets are captured
o Tracks sales and conversion rates through Google Analytics to better identify areas of opportunity on our site
o Analyzes business and providing recaps that include product specific and site specific KPIs. This information also helps identify
suggestions on HP banners, tiles, and overall site content
o Analyzes our competitors marketing strategies and site experiences to better merchandise our site
o Works closely with Customer Service to identify any customer issues from product to user experience and taking action as
needed
o Works with our planning teams to finalize e-commerce buys for upcoming seasons by analyzing current inventory, sales, and
historical sales data
o QAs our site daily to make note of any imagery issues, while ordering samples and submitting creative briefs to schedule photo
shoots if needed

o	Works directly with the buyers and Merchandise Manager to analyze business and make suggestions that would directly impact sales.
o	Strategizes buys weekly based on OTB
o	Works directly with the Product team to approve production samples/quality
o	Is looked at as a leader for the juniors Merch Ops team. The go-to for questions and help with workflow.
o	Analyzes the Juniors business within all domestic and international divisions – TKMaxx Europe, Winners, Marshalls, and TJMaxx, while finding commonalities or major differences.
o	Attends vendor appointments with the buyers to help build relationships within the vendor community
o	Presents a best/tough seller wall weekly and recaps trends/styles working/not working and how we can adjust future buys accordingly
o	Regularly attends competition shopping trips with upper management to identify opportunities within our business. 

Senior Merchandise Assistant

o	Multi-tasked in various fast-paced departments within the company including hosiery, lingerie/sleepwear, ladies footwear, activewear, mens accessories, and store stock
o	Assisted the only full-time Store Stock buyer and helped develop best practices for the new business
o	Assisted the buyer in retailing merchandise based on type of merchandise, markup, label, value etc.
o	Held conference calls with potential store stock vendors to help them understand the PO process, shipping, invoicing, etc.
o	Tracked canceled POs and reports dollars canceled to MM and Buyers to add to their OTB
o	Managed and organized a high volume of samples to prepare for strategy meetings and style outs
o	Developed a great business relationship with vendors and buyers
o	Attended vendor meetings and strategy meetings
o	Entered purchase orders for Buyers accurately and efficiently
o	Resolved vendor issues with both domestic and import orders as well as other issues as they arise
o	Pulled various reports based on sales and statistics for the Buyers
o	Knowledge of proprietary systems i.e. Buyer Control, On Demand, Mainframe, PMC, and Buyer Worksheet
o	Managed phone calls and a high volume inbox
o	Responsible for many special projects as assigned

Merchandise Assistant

o	Created shipping strategies for my department to determine what will ship out that week.
o	Analyzed past and present sales to determine the best strategy for shipping
o	Created a mix around our OTS that will maximize profits
o	Communicated with buyers and the Distribution Centers to help ensure smooth shipping
o	Tracked dollars shipped in multiple store bases/zones. 
o	Visited our stores to determine what we’re lacking, what we have too much of, and what we should adjust in our strategies.
o	Visited our stores and our competition stores to identify opportunities in pricing, trends, mix, and shipping strategies.
o	Resolved any issues that may arise throughout the week
