Edit and write technical, UX, and marketing copy, including branding, website, app, manuals, knowledge base, social media, video scripts, radio scripts, and emails. Some clients include: Wirecutter, Amazon Web Services (AWS), FOX Sports, Jyve, WKND Wellness, UEI College, Walden University, Jarritos.

- Was requested directly by AWS re:Invent’s senior technical editor to be a lead editor for this year’s event and to work with her team for an additional five months on other events. (This is my third year being selected for the project; the first two years I was selected by AWS’s copyediting vendor—the first year as an editor, the second year as a team leader and trainer.) - Copyedit thousands of titles and abstracts and hundreds of PowerPoint decks for AWS re:Invent, AWS re:Inforce, and AWS Summits. Ensure that correct AWS service names and versions are used and that the presentations don’t violate any AWS legal considerations. - Manage team of freelance editors off site for two months of pre-event editing and on site for weeklong re:Invent. - Act as liaison and representative for copy editors (on behalf of AWS’s event copy-editing department) in biweekly meetings with the event-planning company. - Create style and process documentation. - Created team-training strategy and procedure.

- Wrote and edited technical and UX copy, including in-app, hardware manual, website (including FAQ and knowledge base), and process guides. - Copy-edited release notes to make them more customer-friendly before posting. - Represented the customer in marketing and product-development planning with CEO, CTO, and CMO.

- Reviewed and edited web-advertising vendors’ ads, blog posts, and landing pages for correctness and compliance with master service agreement, our guidelines, and those of our accrediting bodies. - Communicated regulatory, advertising, and product changes to vendors. - Designed, managed, and created all content for revamp of Corinthian’s online style guide (CMS; vendors’ source for content, style, and brand and regulatory guidelines).

- Proofread marketing and company materials for Graphic Orb and clients such as Sony Pictures, Universal Pictures, Miramax Films, FOX Sports Net, FOX Soccer Channel, Amgen, and Intel, ensuring that materials had correct spelling and grammar and adhered to style, brand, corporate, and federal guidelines. - Created style guides for clients. - Wrote copy for company and client projects, including ads, websites, and pitch packets. - Managed staff of three proofreaders.

- Wrote and edited news bulletins, articles, letters, flyers, promotional materials, ad copy, executive speeches, and event scripts. - Was production editor for two company newsletters. - Translated regulatory and policy changes into user-friendly language and communicated them to Farmers’ 14,000 agents. - Interviewed C-level executives, agents, customers, and subject-matter experts to provide content and context for articles and other communications.
