Performed assessments, developed care plans, and administered treatments like trigger point and intra articular injections, suturing and splinting. Coon Memorial Emergency Department – as the solo emergency department provider,  Simon helped a diverse rural population. Working with newborns to geriatric patients, Anthony provided a range of diagnostic and treatment services. He also arranged inter-hospital transfers of high-acuity patients. 

Team Health Emergency Department – as a staff provider, Anthony worked at several emergency departments. He was responsible for interpreting diagnostic imaging and lab results and performing procedures like laceration repairs, splinting, fracture reductions, and initiating inter-hospital transfers for patients who needed more advanced care. 

Ageless Men’s Health – Karl Simon returned to Ageless as a part-time provider. He is responsible for assessing both new and established patients. He formulates diagnosis and treatment plans and delivers treatments including testosterone replacement therapies, intramuscular injections, and phlebotomy. 

As members of healthcare teams, PAs take medical histories, examine and treat patients, make diagnoses, prescribe medications, order and interpret lab work and imaging, refer to specialists, assist in surgery, counsel patients, and perform minor procedures. PAs practice in a wide variety of specialties and settings. PAs often have many primary care patients who care for over many years, never meeting the supervising physician. Visit times may vary based on the doctor's day of the week, as some go to school, and others work a shift and may vary between individual doctors. PAs may pressure the doctor to speed the visit or ask questions based on their knowledge, thinking, and patients.

Anthony serves as a part-time healthcare provider for established and new primary care patients. He diagnoses incoming patients, develops treatment plans, and delivers treatments and procedures or men’s health conditions. His primary role was to assess and treat patients, including low-acuity pediatric and adult/geriatric patients. He analyzed diagnostic imaging and laboratory results, performed procedures like fracture reductions and laceration repairs, and facilitated inter-hospital transfers for high-acuity patients who needed advanced care. Within the system, Anthony was often called upon to serve at other healthcare facilities; his experience in medical care and broad skill set were valuable additions to the Memorial Hermann team.

 Team Health Emergency Department

Coon Memorial is part of the Dallam Hartley Counties Hospital District and serves a diverse rural population. Anthony Simon was the sole emergency care provider here, with patients ranging from newborns to geriatric populations. In addition to assessing patient needs with diagnostic imaging and laboratory tests, he also delivered treatments and procedures like reductions of fractures and dislocations as well as laceration suturing/repair. As with his work at Memorial Hermann, Mr. Simon arranged for inter-hospital patient transfers for high-acuity patients. He was instrumental in delivering care, having to make difficult decisions as the leader of the ED team.

Emergency Medical Technician

Pasadena is known as the premier family medical and pain management facility in the region. As the lead clinician in this high-volume practice, Anthony served thousands of patients with family medicine, non-operative orthopedic, pediatric, and pain management strategies. He diagnosed patients, developed care plans, and performed a wide range of procedures, including injections, suturing, splinting, and I&D. Anthony also ordered diagnostic tests such as labs and CT/ultrasound/x-ray imaging.
