Ariel Ortiz: Assistant Buyer

- Create and maintain styles and attributes in all internal DSG systems including MDM, and buy plan - Manage sample acquisition and distribution; this includes procurement, sample rack maintenance, and submissions to advertising. - Responsible for the life-cycle of the product which includes initial set up and entering of purchase orders into the system, adjusting as needed. - Maintain reports and spreadsheets to support the business and look for opportunities to improve processes & reporting. Share recommendations with the team to gain buy-in. - Speak to trends observed in the industry through shopping experiences, share findings and recommendations with the team to aid assortment building - Partner with the Vertical Brands team to ensure the vision of the assortment is executed

- Serve as the footwear channel expert and merchandising lead - Train all incoming Footwear dept. associates - Analyze and recommend a corporate strategy for the footwear dept. - Manage and optimize stockroom systems - Oversee and execute ad-hoc projects, as needed
