Creative & Design

o	Lead designer on Steve Madden kids, branded, mid-tier, and first cost business.
o	Conduct trend, competitive, and sales research to forecast upcoming trends and determine design direction.
o	Interpret high end fashion trends into kid’s styles for high volume retailers.
o	Collaborated with preproduction and pricing teams on all changes needed to ensure product quality and execution in production.
o	Train incoming designers on our systems, footwear terminology, technical details, and design aesthetics.
o	Oversee China Product Development through production

o	Lead designer on Target account growing the business over $122 million over the past 4 years (increase of 108%).
o	Accredited through extensive Target BPPE vendor program to approve confirmation samples for production.
o	Instituted procedures to improve and expedite communication flow between cross function pricing and production teams.
o	Interpret high end trends into footwear styles for high volume retailers.
o	Follow shoes from concept through production while being highly involved in the technical and fitting changes.
o	Facilitate open communication with China Product Development, Pre-Production, and Production teams.


Designer

o	Product Coordinator for first cost brands such as AEO, Loft, New York & Company, and Libby Edelman which generated over $10 million in sales volume.
o	Worked with Design counterparts to manage all specs from design to production to ensure timely execution of samples using the Flex PLM system.
o	Worked with designer and production team to initiate, review, and approve all confirmation samples for production.
o	Partnered with China PD team to ensure excellent execution of development and production samples.
o	Worked with Pricing, Costing, and Design teams to achieve maximum profitability.
o	Initiated a sample status report with China PD to ensure more efficient communication regarding sample delivery.
o	Created and maintained seasonal color/material palette as well as upper/bottom components.
o	Managed sample order process and maintenance of office samples archives.
o	Started and maintained product development calendar to keep design team on process milestones.
