Hello! I'm Bart, a highly experienced professional photographer and retoucher with an extensive background in the skateboarding industry.   I work in both the digital and analog worlds, and have extensive experience in location and studio shooting. As a freelancer, I'm very knowledgeable in file management, image processing, and photoshop techniques & workflows.  I'd love the opportunity to work with a team of people in a more corporate photographic environment, and I believe a studio photography, product photography or production assistant position would be a great fit!

I’ve been fortunate enough to spend the last 15 years producing images for a wide variety of brands, companies, and publications.  My experience includes everything from pre-production conceptualizing and location scouting, all the way to retouching images and final design layout for publications.   

- Collaborate with businesses, professional athletes, and publications to produce visual content for brands and sponsors.  
- Work closely with brands to produce images for various marketing collateral, ad campaigns, and lookbooks.
- Travels nationally and internationally with professional athlete teams.  
- Handles all processing, color management, retouching, file management, and archiving of images.
- Prepares files for advertisements, editorial layouts, and client marketing collateral.
- Manages all social media content and marketing.



- Photographed and distributed images of national and international skateboard contests that featured action, lifestyle, and promotional photography with amateur and professional athletes.
- Worked in tandem with athlete sponsors to maximize product and label  placement during photo shoots. 
- Boosted skateboard awareness and stimulated excitement by relaying images from Asia, Europe, South America and Australia.


Staff Photographer & Skateboard Ambassador

- Conceptualized and executed featured stories, including interviews, photography, and magazine layouts.
- Communicated with a  skateboard fan base through social media outlets: Instagram, Facebook, and Twitter.
- Planned and managed logistics for skate events in Colombia, South America.
- Advanced skateboarding and skateboarding culture through public appearances, media, and weekly blogs.


Staff Photographer & Featured Writer

- Produced photographs of the Professional Skateboard Team for Transworld Skateboarding Magazine, Thrasher Magazine, and The Skateboard Mag.
- Collaborated with art directors and marketing groups to produce concepts for skateboard shoes and apparel ad campaign series.

- Supervised daily operations and coordinated activity schedules for campers.
- Guided and supported campers and staff for a safe and enjoyable educational experience.
- Organized special events with visiting professional athletes.
- Arranged entertainment events including bands, contests, and demos.
- Collaborated with staff on camp goals and skills training, using positive teaching techniques: step-by-step instruction, videos, and hands-on demonstrations.
