(NLM), Santa Ana, CA Jan 2019 - present
Start Up focused on managing cannabis manufacturing licenses, but also has cannabis distribution license. The first six months this company was associated to a group that managed cannabis retail and cultivation licenses.
Paralegal/Contacts Administration
• Summary: NLM was previously associated with Peoples OC and the scope of work was initially related to obtaining local and state Business and Cannabis permits in order to operate under compliance. Later, when NLM and Peoples split up I continued to administer the manufacturing and distribution cannabis licenses and all other regular Business Licenses, but also started to create the standard contract templates for NLM. Created a reply letter template to communicate with agents whether it was a cannabis or non-cannabis related matter; Developed a license control and CA Secretary of State filing control to better administer deadlines
• Impact highlight: When working for both NLM and Peoples OC I reported straight to a Lawyer that would revise all the documents I drafted. After the split, I reported straight to the CFO and CEO of the company. Created all legal department documents' templates.
• Contracts: Created and analyzed contracts, including: (i) LOI; (ii) MOU; (iii) Purchase Agreements; (Iv) Services Agreements; (V) Standard Non-Disclosure Agreements; etc. Maintained an audit file for each contract, including the original contract, all correspondence, amendments, clarifications and reviewed redlined versions.
• Other instruments: Created contracts on an as needed basis in addition to the general contract templates.
