-Reported directly to the VP of merchandising and design consultant based out of New York -Under the direction of both executives, my job was to make sure the category was managed correctly and projects were executed in a timely manner, up to design expectations and standards -Job duties include; development from concept to production, line sheets, design boards, fabric ordering and collaborating with different departments to make sure projects were handled accurately -Organize fit schedule and coordinate with models Worked with vendors and wash houses to ensure that styles were being executed according to tech pack -Measured and fit styles on models and communicated to overseas factory's our needs and how to fix pending issues -Worked with all departments to make sure that each project was communicated properly to our factories for development/production. -Managed all samples and libraries

-Assist in the supervision of each seasonal collection during the development process until the final production stage -Update company fit standards, revise templates, size charts and grading formulas to achieve consistency -Conduct fit sessions to identify potential quality issues, make recommendations to improve fit and quality, keep track of all garment history, track and document changes then communicate these changes to overseas vendors -Review tech packs to ensure company standards, design standards and customer brand integrity is exceeded -Update tech design library which encompassed photographs, tolerance spreadsheets, grade rule spread sheets, label and hangtag procedures, wash formulas, shrinkage calculations and measuring guides

-Constructing and engaging in quality for a variety of products by establishing and updating style libraries in a Centric to streamline the development process successfully -Prepared design packages with technical drawings, construction, fabric, wash, color and fit specifications -Actively building relationships with co workers and upper management to ensure effective workflow -Collaborated with designers to interpret and clarify design concepts to ensure correct development of initial specifications -Maintained wash standards through color rendering and sample comparison -Assisted in fit sessions when necessary and managed sample corrections by translating detailed evaluations for fit samples, including sketches, photos, revised measurements and built diagrams, which minimized confusion/questions from Asian vendors -Communicated with factories in order to troubleshoot any issues and review suggestions with Senior Designer -Reviewed and approved garments/tech packs for production and made sure that sample meets design lines, trimming and spec as requested by Senior Designer -Build design tech libraries such as; fabric, trim, hardware, marketing tags, pocket and tech pack books for designers to reference when needed

-Execute fit comments for the structured wovens, outerwear and knits product categories -Protect the brands integrity by upholding construction standards and consistency -Capture team feedback during fittings and responsible for the execution of the fit comments accordingly and communicate with factories in India, Peru, Hong Kong and Taiwan. -Collaborate with senior technical director, production, product development, design and merchandising to ensure samples, artwork quality, delivery and business practices are achieved and upheld. -Assisted pattern maker manager to send out 1st proto fits for new collection by measuring out garments and sketching out pattern changes for new fits. -Following through with samples and maintaining the sample archive ensuring that each garment is executed correctly.

-Oversee the tech design and development for a new division in the juniors department specifically designed for Dillard's created by XOXO design director, sales merchandising department and buyers. -Assist in building the departments process and help generate and update tech packs -Measure garments, conduct and assist in fittings with design and communicate changes, new updates to vendors and production -Work with production to ensure samples are being washed and constructed correctly per designs direction and tech pack instruction. -Photograph and organize the divisions archive by updating photos in PDM -Create first tech packs, update tech packs and communicate with China by giving specific fit measurements, POM and grade rules. - Assist in correcting patterns with pattern makers and grade departments -Maintain and manage samples for the division and hand them off to the correct departments if needed for sales purposes. -Receive samples and make sure they were up to quality standards and expectations for both the designers and production.

-Worked with both head of the design and development department for denim and non-denim to build tech packs from initial concept to a finished garment. -Assisted in sketching out ideas based on the designer's vision and generated the first sample tech pack by filling in all needed details such as fabric, construction, hardware, trim and labeling. -Communicated with vendors overseas in China by submitting all necessary information needed to ensure proper development for each sample and division. -Measured out garments, fabric shrinkage, wash details and processes for each garment with factories overseas. -Assisted design in merchandising and sales meetings to ensure the customer's expectations were full filled and on calendar. -Tagged and took inventory of garments, organized shipping of sales samples and updated WIP spreadsheets

-Working under the direction of Co-Founder/Creative Director and assist in executing Luxury, Premium, Contemporary and Fast Fashion collections each season. -Contribute to the development of collections for clients such as Rhianna, Lady Gaga, Bruno Mars, Coldplay, Current Eliott Denim, Rock & Republic, Dior Homme, Tommy Jeans and Quicksilver women's jeans. -Organize fittings with both the production and design team then compile all garment information including fit, fabric, construction, stitch and trim information comments then create the initial tech pack in addition to making corrections to existing tech packs that need updated information. -Conduct official tech pack hand over meetings and communicate all changes to the production department. -Collaborate with vendors on fit construction and problem-solve current and potential fit issues.

-Assisted Founder and Designer in the development process for the collection. -Responsible for managing the sewing room of over a dozen sewers to ensure sure all designs were executed efficiently. - Organized fittings and provided call-outs and critiques to ensure all issues are identified. -Tested fabric and accurately measured garment's -Take detailed notes and communicate with production and vendors any fit issues we experienced. - Created initial tech pack and communicated grading guidelines to ensure production fits were consistent.

-Worked under the design and marketing director to create first initial tech pack template for the assigned category. -Organized fittings and build the production calendar according to changes -Managed the sample development process and generated computerized specifications and maintaining them through fit approval. - Conducted fit sessions and communicated wash, trim, construction and pattern corrections to contractors and vendors. -Tracked all garments from design through production, and examined garments to ensure all details met design and vendor specifications.

Los Angeles Technical Design/Product Development Dec 2005-Dec 2009 -Product developer and technical designer for exclusive collection under the direction of president and CEO. -Responsible for researching and developing new techniques to present to executives, buyers, designers, and merchandisers and sales. -Created exclusive developments requested by executives for clients such as; Neiman Marcus, Nordstrom, Kitson Los Angeles, Harrods London and Robertson flagship store -Generated first initial tech packs and was appointed to oversee the entire product development stage from proto, first fit to final sample. -Organized fittings and took detailed notes to make sure that the correct information was being communicated to pattern makers, sewers, wash developers and vendors. -Assisted production by communicating the proper information needed to ensure that all sales samples were executed correctly in a timely manner.
