I am an innovative designer and product developer with 17 years of experience developing collections from concept through to finished product. I am passionate about product, and have worked with a variety of commodities in menswear, women's wear and activewear. As an efficient, organized and highly creative individual, I enjoy leading a team to creatively solve problems and deliver the best product possible.

Lead designer of 2 in-house men’s brands. Experience designing 40 piece seasonal collections from concept through the product development process and creating long term strategies for the men’s department.
• Provided trend forecasting along with seasonal colour and theme direction
• Collaborated with fit technician to perfect fit and resolve construction issues
• Worked with GMM and men’s team on collection go-forward strategy
• Collaborated with men’s buyer to plan assortment across 7 commodities
• Created 10-40 original on garment prints and graphics per season
• Provided research on new materials, construction methods and features to enhance men’s product for our target customer

LEAD DESIGNER-MEN'S

Contract design work as needed for a variety of activewear brands.

Gerber Pattern Design	sublimation layouts, label and trim design, logo and branding development

FREELANCE DESIGNER

Manager of the design department, leading a team of 3 designers and assistants. 
Experience managing design calendar through the seasonal development process. Senior designer of 4 in-house brands with 4 seasons per year. 
• Responsible for creating a cohesive long term strategy across brands
• Created monthly concept, theme, colour, print and trend direction
• Managed, coached and trained designers while creating seasonal calendar
• Collaborated with the cross functional teams to create assortment plan across commodities, select fabrication, fit samples, review strike offs and troubleshoot issues during sampling and production
• Designed 15-50 original prints, graphics and patterns per season including concept creation, artwork and ensuring factory execution 

SENIOR DESIGNER-WOMEN'S

Designer of in-house men’s collections. Experience collaborating on seasonal colour, trend and product direction.
• Responsible for drawing technical flats and creating monthly line sheets
• Created original on garment graphics as well as labels, hang tags and custom trims
• Researched local and foreign markets, trade shows and on-line services in order to identify emerging trends, fabrics, techniques, graphics and colour


MEN'S DESIGNER

Design development and procurement associate for international athletic clothing lines. Experience developing 15 piece activewear collections for a clientele with specific requirements with in-house and offshore factories.
• Responsible for seasonal line inspiration, developing detailed renderings of new styles and creating technical packages for style development
• Managed pattern development, fit process, prototyping and BOM
• Worked with fabric mills to develop and test new materials
• Negotiated costing for production with offshore factories and fabric mills
• Worked with equestrian athletes to develop and test new fabrics and styles


DESIGN AND PROCUREMENT ASSOCIATE

Designer and production manager for corporate custom clothing projects. 
Experience creating virtual mock ups, sourcing fabric and trims, negotiating costing, managing production timelines, developing fit and coordinating QA inspections for brands like Apple, UPS and Microsoft.
• Worked with outerwear, technical apparel, men’s and women’s wear 
• Created technical flats, design packages, technical packages, product specs, BOM and seasonal trend presentations
• Developed solutions for quick turn, custom apparel projects
• Responsible for communicating and coordinating production of specialty projects with factories in Canada, US, China, India and Bangladesh


APPAREL PROJECT MANAGER

Creator of outerwear line and designer of men’s and women’s outerwear collections. Experience in design, pattern making, pattern grading, fitting samples, sourcing materials, costing and managing an on-line business.
