Casandra Grullon is a New York based cartoonist and illustrator and a recent graduate of the School of Visual Arts. Her work consists of short form comics in a range of genres, from horror to slice of life to romance. She focuses her storytelling on the emotional journey of her protagonists and how these emotions affect their actions and relationships with others.

Her goals are to be a visual storyteller in comics, illustration and storyboarding.

She is inspired by illustrators, comics artists and animators alike. Some of these artists include Emily Carroll, Kate Beaton, Amy Reader, Hayao Miyazaki, Isao Takahata and Satoshi Kon.

-Scanning materials and entering them into the database.
-Refiling materials

Interned for artists Reilly Brown, Khary Randolf, Ellen Lindner and Jason Little at their studio in Brooklyn. 
Duties included: 
-scanning and fixing line art on Adobe Photoshop
-flat coloring illustrations and comics pages on Adobe Photoshop
-illustrating backgrounds and elements on illustrations
-sending and picking up materials from print shop
-designing the layout, illustrating the table of contents and the interior covers of The Strumpet issue 4 for editor Ellen Lindner.
