Experienced and tech savvy small business executive specializing in B2B channel partnerships, staff training & development, cross-functional teams, agile & lean management, localization workflow automation, solutions architecting, business process modeling, localization supply chain, export control (ITAR/EAR), information security, geopolitical consulting, sales & marketing, public speaking as well as AWS cloud deployment & maintenance.

Over the past 12 years, I have managed or overseen 15,000+ localization initiatives for organizations such as Microsoft, Amazon, Facebook, Google, Nike, Starbucks, Amazon, Electronic Arts, Sony, Disney and US Federal Government entities (Department of Defense, Department of Justice) – to name a few.

I have also written and presented best practices workshops for Amazon & Starbucks, among other organizations (localization best practices, website globalization, pre-localization code & content internationalization, localization process conception, refinement & implementation).

I have personally designed and developed a functional ERP system for the localization industry, led the architectural design of a crowd/community sourcing platform for the localization industry, as well as overseen the conceptualization & development of various workflow plugins for localization workflow & testing automation. I have also been involved with the conceptualization and architectural design of multilingual document & social media exploitation platforms for use in the defense & intelligence arenas.


River Linguistics was launched as a bootstrap startup and in the first year of operations, we met / exceeded industry average revenue for established language service providers of similar size. We also obtained HUBZone, 8(a), and EDWOSB certifications for doing business with public sector entities and their respective contractors.

In addition to managing Sales & Marketing (including ownership of social media, digital/print advertising campaigns, analytics & reporting, etc.), I managed a combination of on-shore/off-shore software development teams (both for River Linguistics and as a consultant to larger companies in our industry). My ability to communicate laterally and vertically allowed me to effectively engage and influence stakeholders throughout all phases of development, ranging from account managers, product managers, sales executives, marketing managers, end users – all the way to C-level executives.

Filling a primarily sales-focused role, I increased US sales figures by an average of 186%, month on month (highest monthly increase 331%). During this time, I also closed the largest single sale in the company’s history. Responsible for establishing and expanding Straker’s presence in the North American market, I consulted with Straker’s leadership on matters ranging from US business culture, physical office set up, local tax and legal compliance, marketing strategy, as well as human and technology infrastructure requirements.

During my tenure at Glyph Language Services, I was responsible for managing up to 10 direct reports across the following business units: Project Management, Quality Assurance, Desktop Publishing & Engineering, Vendor Management, Account Management, Information Technology & Human Resources. Duties also included writing job descriptions, interviewing prospective candidates, establishing quantifiable KPIs, employee goals & development roadmaps, establishing budgets and enforcing budget adherence, along with conducting quarterly reviews.
