Global Sports Marketing Manager

We created the Recon Tour in 2012 as a regional Freestyle BMX contest series in Southern California. The mission was simple…discover, support and progress the best up-and-coming athletes in their sport. The Recon Tour has since expanded into a nationwide effort to support both amateur and Pro athletes in BMX, snowboard and ski throughout the country.

Direct and manage four Field Marketing Managers, 60 Monster Ambassadors. Build brand, trial and awareness, brand loyalty, word of mouth, grow the brand. Manage, create, plan and execute regional marketing programs, marketing objectives, strategies and initiatives. Bring Monster Energy to regional market by developing brand building programs and strategies through, relationship development, event support/creation and activating Monster promotions, properties, tools, marketing programs, events, athlete support and sponsorship, for the North West Division.

Regional Marketing Manager

Responsible for the direction of brand strategy and development, branding, personality, positioning, sampling programs, event marketing, sponsorships, sports and athlete programs, ambassador programs, grass roots marketing and relationship building. Develop and create new product line extension, (packaging/flavor development) develop and create programs to drive trial, consumer promotions, sale incentives, trade development, (POS and POP items). Manage budgets, forecasting, monitor competitive landscape (Nielsen data) create performance reports for sales and marketing goals, Present and create marketing strategy and sales presentations to sales force and directors.  Develop, foster and leverage strategic business partnerships. Increase trial and grew the brand resulting in positive growth. (Up 356% in 14 months)

Brand Manager

Built and managed brand image and relationships through, cultural, action sports, collegiate and grassroots marketing, athlete and event programs. Identified cultivated and capitalized on opportunities that drove image in key relevant scenes. Created and produced marketing programs in core target groups. Developed collegiate marketing programs. Developed training manuals and presentations to be used for new hires, marketing programs event execution and best practices. Evaluated local proposals and developed strategies for support. Produced and managed events in specific markets. Worked with sales teams to insure marketing initiatives and programs were in line with sales goals and initiative
