Assisted the Apparel Buyer for the Men’s and Women’s Divisions in product selection and management. • Efficiently execute time lines and calendar for Apparel Buyer for meetings and deadlines. • Building and updating all item information into our centric program. • Prioritizes with our sample room on the flow of incoming and outgoing samples. • Handles vendor correspondence in regards to all required product information for selected styles. • Prepping garments, by hanging, steaming and sorting by classification. Also, providing cost and IMU info • Presents the inspiration and story for all catalog and online styles to our copywriters, along with accurate product info. • Previewing and editing all online and catalog styles to confirm information before print and publishing. • Attends trade shows with boss and helps preview new products and enhance vendor partnerships. • Corresponds with our vendors providing detailed pictures of original photo samples and incorrect pre-production samples, providing them with detailed information on what changes need to be made in order to provide approval. • Works with our creative team to provide samples that are accurate in fit and detail for studio and location shoots. • Measuring samples to ensure vendors are on spec and within tolerance. • Communicates info to our QC and Customer Service teams. • Reviews vendor invoices for accuracy and reports improper billing to VP and Accounting. • Submits Expense reports for the Apparel Buyer on spending for travel, meals, and sourcing. • Stays on budget purchasing departmental supplies and paper required for day to day operations to run smoothly. • Communicating fit & top of production comments to vendors. • Calls out quality concerns and issues on approval samples for The Apparel Buyer and Senior VP.
