A bit about me - My name is Crista Tappan and I've worked in marketing and design for over 16 years. My passion for good design, branding, social media and marketing started when I began my first job - working for Apple as a student marketing intern. After two life-changing years, I went on to freelance, which I have been doing (sometimes for agencies) for the last fourteen years. My work in marketing in marketing, social media and community event promotion has been highlighted and recognized by REI, Adidas, Patagonia, Ultimate Direction, Trail Runner Magazine, Elephant Journal, and Ragnar.

I have worked with hundreds of companies in co-branding, campaigns and general product promotion. I have loved every second of what I've done, but am ready for something bigger.

I recently relocated to Portland from Southern California and have been dreaming of joining an energetic, outdoor related company that focuses on marketing and strategic social media campaigns.

Developed a social media strategy to increase the following of the company website by over 200% in less than six months. Spearheaded several viral campaigns for the company's new products. Created a new logo, website, marketing materials, and developed the social media channels. Account management & direct marketing to bring in new customers. Mined and analyzed customer databases and user surveys to identify purchasing trends, and designed new sales and marketing strategies to target existing customers and develop new revenue streams.

Marketing Manager

Selected in a state-wide search for a graphic and digital marketing position at Apple. Participated in early development for Adobe Creative Suite in conjunction with Apple software. Was on the design team for the iPod and helped develop campaign strategy.
