Lead Soft Goods Designer and Product Developer for Big Time Products - a $220 million dollar retail products company.
The design and product development leader for retail tool storage product category. Primary customers include Home
Depot, Lowes, Walmart, Newell Brands, QEP, TTI, and Menards. Responsible for integrating design needs of the end user
with the manufacturing capabilities of our partners - while still making a profit for the company and the retailer. The role
requires both significant design and product development experience.
· Directly involved with retailer and sales team for new product features, SKU line up, and material selection.
· Design diagram document creation reviewing documents with retailer and sales team
· Factory selection and material specification
· Led weeklong product development meetings with retail customers at overseas factories
· Key role in product line review resulting in approx 1.9 million dollars in savings
The position required significant foreign travel to Mexico and China - totaling over 120 days abroad during the last year.
Additionally, responsible for participation and design summary of primary market research including focus groups, job site
visits, and conducting end-user interviews.

Industrial Designer/Product Developer

Member of the soft goods product design team focusing on tool storage for major retailers. Designed products in several
mediums including leather, polyester, nylon, and cotton. Interpreted end-user needs as necessary to improve new and existing products. Responsible for development of design diagrams and coordination with factories. Also developed market
research reports based on trends in the market and end-users feedback.

Industrial Designer

Student managed consulting organization that collaborates with business, engineering, and industrial design students to provide help for start-up companies. Responsible for sketching, computer renderings and sketch modeling for a personal safety device. Used empathic modeling to simulate the device in use.

Design intern for an established engineering and rapid prototyping firm. Developed expertise in 3D scanning, on Konica Minolta Range 7. 3D printing, reverse engineering, injection molding and manufacturing techniques. Design project work ranged from packaging design for Motorola to 3D scanning, defense aircraft wings and worked on new product developments for start ups.

Design Intern

Provide technical support within the lab particularly for 3D scanning projects. Experience includes Steinbicher Comet L3D Structured Light Scanner. Responsible for installations of new software on Macs, PC, and Linux workstations.
