The Web Content Manager is responsible for maintaining content on the Ashley Furniture Homestore website. This person will utilize the Salesforce, Sitecore, Umbraco, Adobe Marketing Cloud, and more. The content and asset management systems to update the pages, promotions, images, disclaimers, SEO, and other website content. The Website Content Specialist will write responsive HTML5 and CSS3 code that is cross browser compatible to create a consistent look and feel throughout the site and maintain consistency with Ashley’s omni-channel marketing strategy. This person will utilize Adobe Photoshop to edit images on occasion for the web. This position is also responsible for naming, tagging, formatting, and uploading third party product photography to various libraries. The Web Content Specialist will work closely with the Ashley Furniture merchandisers, graphic designers, photography department, website development, and information technology departments so strong communication skills are needed.
• Create, develop, manage and publish content to the Ashley Furniture HomeStore website (requires working with Salesforce and Sitecore)
• Utilize HTML5, CSS3, SEO, and various tools to develop pages or portions of pages on the website when existing CMS templates are not sufficient.
• Work with the SEO manager to optimize site content for search engines
• Append query strings to website links to assist the web analytics department
• Use Photoshop to create and edit graphics for use on the web when the design team is unavailable or in need of assistance
• Maintain the French version of the Ashley Furniture Homestore website by working with an outside translation service and writing code to show, hide, and swap content
• Report bugs and change requests to the web developers and/or IT departments
• Assure web-based information is archived for future needs and references
• Implement Salesforce Einstein to make shopping more predictive and personal
