With over 13 years of experience, I have designed hundreds of products and worked with brands such as Coleman, Nike, Rubbermaid, Browning, Marmot, Phillips, Eagle Creek, Jet Boil, Hodgman, and many more... 

As part of the original MDD faculty, I have taught various courses in the department. Courses Taught: Outdoor Product Design Studio, Manufacturing & Materials for
Design, and Design Rapid Visualization. I also assist in student professional development and mentorship.

Owner of a private Industrial Design and Product Development Consultancy designing and developing consumer products in various markets from medical to housewares to outdoor products.  Services provided are Design and Market Research, Concept Ideation and Refinement, Design for Manufacture, Prototyping, Engineering, Manufacturing Specifications and Documentation, Production and Manufacturing Sourcing and Management. As a private consultant, I have worked with such brands as Rubbermaid, JanSport, Coleman, Eagle Creek, and many others and have provided expert advice in legal cases regarding patent and IP infringement.

In association with the University of Utah Health Dept. and The College of Architecture and Planning I assisted in the research and development of an in-home medical equipment storage systems. I helped develop functional and aesthetic solutions as well as advised on prototyping, manufacturing, and other development issues.

Research Associate

As the Design and Marketing Manager, I was responsible for creating and managing marketing strategies for the company including trade show marketing, print advertising and collateral, and packaging design and development. I also was heavily involved in new product design and development projects for outdoor brand clients such as Browning, Real Tree, and Mossy Oak. This included various types of products such as soft goods like technical mountaineering packs to pet products and hand tools under various brands licensed by Signature Products Group. I was partially responsible for helping acquire a new product license to develop a line hunting bags and packs for the Browning company.  I helped develop a line of over 20 bags and packs products in less than a years time.

Design and Marketing Manager

As Senior Designer, I was responsible for designing and developing new sporting goods and products under the STX brand. I also designed and developed Nike Brand
products for STX and official licensee. I worked on both soft and hard-goods including lacrosse padding and lacrosse sticks and heads for high-end collegiate and professional use.

Senior Industrial Designer

As Industrial Designer I was responsible for designing and developing various outdoor and camping products including but not limited to: Coolers, Tents, Sleeping Bags, Burning Appliances, Battery Lighting Products, and many others. I designed and developed products for both domestic and foreign markets. I designed the now
multi-million dollar hard box cooler line founds in stores all over the US and internationally as well.
