Donna is a highly motivated and focused professional who has transitioned from a successful consumer products sales career into the accounting field. After completing a Certificate in Accounting through the University of California, San Diego in June 2012, Donna was hired at Quinn Medical, a fast growing orthopedic medical device company. She has responsibility for a wide range of duties including finished goods production planning, raw materials planning and purchasing, inventory management, assisting with month end closing, processing all accounts payable, and collecting accounts receivable for strategic key accounts. She is currently an accounting consultant at Ledgent Staffing. 

Donna recently passed both parts of the CMA Exam. She served on the Board of the Orange County Chapter of the Institute of Management Accountants from June 2012 to June 2014 and remains an active member of the IMA.

-Responsible for maintaining the integrity of inventory position. Includes reconciling discrepancies between GL and 17 independent warehouses before month end close, booking adjustments for obsolete inventory, managing lot numbers for FDA compliance, recording warehouse transfers, and making process improvements to streamline returns and sample requests. 
-Designed a daily shipping report to assist sales with forecasting the balance of 2015

-Responsible for wide range of both accounting and operations functions. Processed all accounts payable. Managed both order processing and accounts receivable for strategic key accounts. Month end closing tasks included posting recurring GJE's, posting accrued expenses, booking credit card expenses, updating fixed asset worksheet, booking depreciation and amortization, and updating balance sheet schedules. 
-Created the workbook adopted by the Operations Team to re-forecast raw materials needs as changes were made in sales demand, linking monthly sales planning to finished goods production forecasts and raw materials purchases.
-Improved our MRP System, providing more detailed information on flow of the 40+ raw materials purchased. This guaranteed 100% availability of all parts while maintaining the lowest possible inventory levels. Also, added features to the original MRP Workbook in order to provide guidance for R&D Team when scheduling new products or revising existing products.

-Designed a comprehensive commission report for field sales representatives to streamline communication between sales and accounts receivable departments.
-Drafted and implemented aggressive sales plan for overall growth for 2009 with quarterly benchmarks; combined growth from existing and new accounts reached over 200%. New accounts opened included Journeys, Tillys, Zappos.com, Zumiez, Ross Stores, and TXJ.
-Increased cash flow and improved efficiency of the warehouse by selling over 50% of aged inventory
-Accountable for forecasting of seasonal inventory and reconciling sales projections with actuals.

Independent Sales Consultant

-Leveraged the capabilities of CRM Software to maximize trade show productivity. Overall bookings for Fall 2007 increased by 30%.
-Created a comprehensive 2008 sales plan to identify areas for growth resulting in a 1000% increase in new business for the first quarter of 2008. Major new accounts opened included ShopNBC, Zappos.com Accessories, The Metropolitan Museum, and KSL Resorts.

Sales Manager

-Initiated and co-wrote a product knowledge document presented to 75 customer service representatives. Increased sales of new styles by over 15%
-Managed all key accounts in CA, NV, and AZ with volume $6.1M
