Executive Director with 29 years of local government work experience in the field of community development and redevelopment. Administered numerous complex projects across multiple organizational departments and outside resource agencies from concept to completion.  Supervised in-house personnel and managed franchise and contracted professionals to deliver civic services, programs, and capital improvement projects.  

Responsible for the management and operations of La Palma’s Community Development Department. The Department’s divisions include Building and Safety, Business Licensing, Code Enforcement, Economic Development, Housing, Planning and Land Use, and the former Redevelopment Agency. Specifically, responsible for promoting the community to attract new reinvestment and businesses. 

Community Development Director

Directed, managed, supervised and coordinated a variety of Economic Development programs and provided direct administrative support to the City Manager for complex civic issues. Also was the sole principal responsible for the day-to-day activities of the Redevelopment Agency which included promoting the community to attract new investment. 

Economic Development Manager

Served in the hospitality industry for an international Hotelier at a 1,600 room resort property.  Responsibilities were in the front-of-the-house lodging operations; ensuring successful guest arrivals and departures; responding to guest inquires; coordinating with front desk, sales, management, and food and beverage divisions to provide for ultimate guest satisfaction.
