Geoff Crowe is a self-taught art director and visual artist. A rare breed of creative who uses both sides of his brain, he's a big picture thinker who grounds his ideas in strategy. His dedication to his craft has lead him to work with a diverse list of clients; from skateboard companies, to indie bands, to household brand names.

I manage a team of graphic designers for the Hoover brand. We create merchandising displays and packaging to inform and engage consumers at Walmart, Target, Home Depot & Best Buy. I also direct developers, photographers, video editors and producers to deliver digital assets that support our online strategies.

As member of the global creative team, I helped establish and maintain our brand story across all media. We provided seasonal marketing tools (co-op advertising, merchandising displays and social media assets) to support key retail partners. We also created unique experiences both in-store and online for REI, Dick’s Sporting Goods, Sports Authority and Athleta to elevate the brand as leaders in the outdoor apparel category.

Global Graphic Designer

I joined HFA as a production designer, but was quickly promoted to Art Director because of my ability to balance creativity with strategy. In my new role, I teamed with copywriters and creative directors to research, concept and present powerful multi-channel marketing campaigns to our clients. Among them were Goodyear, Dunlop, Glidden, Kraftmaid & the LeBron James Family Foundation.

Art Director

In a time when large record chains were closing, I opened a boutique record shop focusing on indie bands and used vinyl. The store impacted the neighborhood positively by quickly becoming a destination for music lovers from surrounding areas. When I wasn’t running the store, I handled marketing, designed store fixtures and even promoted national touring acts.

Owner

Based out of the Element creative office in Los Angeles, I collaborated with professional athletes, illustrators and artists to design hardgood and apparel graphics. Our work helped to establish Element’s status as a household brand name in action sports.
