Lake Washington Netting Survey

Responsible for collection and analysis of biological data from the aquatic ecosystem surrounding Seattle. The majority of work is centered around tracking the presence and behaviors of invasive species in the Lake Washington Basin and their impact on the local salmonid population, primarily sockeye. Monitoring techniques consist of: extensive gill netting, diet sampling, tagged fish tracking via hydrophones, merwin trap surveys, and creel surveys. All data is analyzed with Microsoft Excel, and Esri arcGIS.

Scientific Technician 2: Lake Washington Basin

Managed the collection and analysis of biological data along the Green River outside of Seattle.

Scientific Technician 2: Duwamish River

While being stationed in a remote area for several months responsibilities included: collecting and submitting biological data from sport and commercial ocean fisheries, and interacting with the public on behalf of the WDFW.

Scientific Technician: Ocean Sampling Program

Responsible for leading field crews to perform tasks associated with hazardous materials, site-remediation, equipment decontamination, and the transportation of hazardous materials.

Environmental Technician / Forman

Line Cook

Duties varied around the implementation and maintenance of gillnets, as well as picking and delivering thousands of pounds of salmon every day. Other duties consisted of; mending nets, operating skiff, and maintaining an organized campsite. This job required working long hours in isolation with a small team.
