Gina Miele: Grassroots Ambassador in Valley Cottage, NY

Manages a team of 50+ skiers in this year round position. Responsibilities include organizing a three event series at Stowe Mountain Resort, delegating tasks to other officers, social networking through Instagram, Facebook and a team website, working with the coach to train athletes of all abilities throughout the season, managing financial aspects of the team, networking with team sponsors as well as contacting potential sponsors, planning team trips, attending and judging at team events, holding team meetings and maintaining a positive environment in the college atmosphere.

In my time at the Office in California my tasks included carrying out regular office duties, such as mailing, sorting, filing, inventory. Also, using various Adobe and creative applications, posting on all social media channels (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram), writing over 30 blog posts, and scheduling everything to publish a specific time-table. Currently working satellite, I am planning an East Coast event and I carry out tasks as needed in addition to a 18 credit schoolwork load.

Provided leadership, supervision and guided instruction to groups of campers ages 4-16 years old. Designed and planned camp activities to be conducted for the children – Implemented the daily schedule, directed and supervised children in spontaneous/planned activities including kayaking, gymnastics, team sports, arts and crafts, dance, music, swimming, ziplining, biking and archery

Supervised and trained players ages 7-16 in basic through advanced team and individual soccer skills and fitness activities

Learned skills to design, build ,maintain and test the takeoffs, landings, and manmade features to maintain a safe terrain park for riders of all ages and abilities.
