Serviced skis, boards, boots, and bindings as a part of the Rossignol Experience Center at Snowbasin Resort. This required having working knowledge of Rossignol’s rental and demo fleet skis, snowboards, boots, and bindings.

Acquired specific experience repairing skis and boards with many unique problems including delamination of the top sheet, base sheet, and side/base edge. Used p-tex, co-polymer, and epoxy daily to repair a number of issues including core shots, blown out edges, and minor base damage. This required an understanding of the Wintersteiger grinding, edging, and waxing machines used at the resort.

Consulted for opinions regarding demo ski purchases.

Was asked to be acting manager anytime the rental shop manager had to be absent.

Mounted and tested skis with bindings from a number of manufacturers and brands including Rossignol, Look, Marker, Tyrolia, and Salomon. Certified to service these brands.

Ski and Board Repair Technician

Managed a crew of 4 to 8 employees in the backcountry. Utilized maps to line out a cutting plan for the day, conducted safety meetings, and managed productivity on the mountain.

Consistently met and exceeded deadlines regarding the formation of new trails and roads.

Serviced existing trails and created entirely new roads and ski runs in mountainous backcountry terrain.

Safely operated and serviced various vehicles and forestry tools.

Aided in the construction of backcountry yurts which required following exact instructions and utilizing construction techniques to complete the housing efficiently.

Represented Whisper Ridge Cat Skiing at public outreach events including the Utah Snow and Avalanche Workshop, ski film premieres, and community festivals.

Trail Crew Manager

Conducted procedural archaeological research in three ranger districts on the Lewis & Clark National Forest. Authored original site forms and survey reports in compliance with federal antiquity laws. Achieved proficiency in advanced mapping and cataloging programs. 

Archaeological Technician

Handled customer service inquires, including purchases and returns, and provided customers with information regarding REI’s vast product inventory. Assisted the shipping department with inventory management, and surpassed membership recruitment goals.
