Reporting to the Director of Design, I was the sole graphic designer supporting Ookla’s marketing and brand efforts outside of product and UI design. I played a key role in establishing a consistent visual identity, developing high-impact marketing materials, and ensuring brand cohesion across various touchpoints. Key Accomplishments: • Developed & Scaled Brand Design – Created a cohesive visual identity system for marketing, sales, and corporate communications. • Designed for Speedtest Awards – Led the design execution for Speedtest Awards, developing award assets, promotional materials, and brand licensing visuals that helped scale the program. • Marketing & Sales Support – Designed presentations, social media content, reports, and advertising materials, elevating Ookla’s external presence. • Data Visualization & Reports – Created compelling reports and infographics to present network insights in a clear and impactful way. • Brand Asset Management – Maintained and evolved brand guidelines to ensure consistency across all marketing and sales touchpoints.

Graphic Designer

Led creative direction for brand licensing, data visualization, and marketing initiatives, ensuring a cohesive and impactful visual identity across global telecom and tech sectors. • Developed and refined brand guidelines, marketing assets, and award licensing materials, maintaining consistency across hundreds of client brands in 120+ countries. • Translated complex network performance data into compelling media assets, including market reports, executive presentations, and motion graphics for commercial, social, and keynote use. • Collaborated cross-functionally with product, marketing, account, and program teams to support storytelling and client engagement strategies. • Managed high-volume creative production, overseeing global brand licensing approvals, advertising mockups, and promotional content for 250+ clients worldwide. • Ensured brand integrity across Ookla’s Speedtest, Downdetector, Ekahau, and RootMetrics products, driving consistency and clarity in all visual communications.

Lead Graphic Designer

I was tasked with all Graphic Design related projects for marketing and product for the cycling publication and lifestyle brand Embrocation Cycling Journal, and for the cycling manufacturer Spooky Cycles. Working closely with the president. Merchandise, photography, branding, product design, social media, print design of quarterly publications, web design.

Design at Embrocation Magazine

In-house graphic design for a wide range of projects: external facing marketing projects and internal clients. Print, identity, web, branding, advertising, strategy, social media, continuation and evolution of several fund raising event material efforts. - Contributed to Telly Award win in 2013. - Contributed to increasing fund raising income nearly 40% in 2014. - Designed online ad campaign resulting in a 3x above average Click Through Rate on local area media (King5, Seattle Times, Komonews, Kiro, Pandora, etc).

Worked with a variety of clients across different industries to develop brands or improve digital products from concept to execution. Content strategy, advertising, Web/UI, creative development, art direction, illustration, production, web design, print design and more.

Designer

Marketing & Design Specialist. Developed and maintained council publications, advertising, online campaigns, printed materials, patches and signage. Revamped web and e-mail marketing while maintaining compliance with corporate brand guidelines.

Marketing & Graphic Design Specialist

Custom iconography for various types of applications and data visualization. Assisted in design of rich interactive media for world class presentations including web (speedtest.net, netindex.com) and iPhone applications.

Contract Designer

Responsible for iconography, email marketing design & development and marketing materials for the MyCleanPC, Double My Speed, and MaxMySpeed brands and contributed to the interface design of desktop anti-virus applications. CyberDefender marketing work, can be seen online, in print, and in conjunction with Guthy Renker; on television and radio.

Duties involve quarterly flier design and layout, catalog layout design, logo design, weekly email fliers, front end web design and production, product and packaging design, production photography and signage. - Unit growth in 3 years has been from start up to $6 million in annual sales. - Responsible for design and development from conception to end of product life cycle. Including but not limited to product selection, sampling, testing, package design and marketing design.

Primary accomplishments include designing 130 page retail catalog and 257 page dealer catalogs (increasing overall sales 15%) and Product Photography for over 5000 SKU's. - Design quarterly sales advertisements and weekly web email promotions (from concept to hand coding HTML/CSS). - Design and contribute to all printed material, including 130 page retail catalog and 257 page dealer catalogs. - Design weekly promotional and marketing campaigns for both segments of the business. - Design and drive creative advertising campaigns and additional website promotions with the internal director of sales and create director. Worked directly with printers and offices in China, Taiwan, Italy, Germany, Pakistan, and India with regards to product development, packaging, accessory design and vehicle design and graphics placement.

Acted as sole point of contact for all customers through their entire custom print experience from the design (of every type of print collateral) through pre-press. Editing existing customer work to ensure print readiness. Provided solutions for Customer Service emergencies.

Quality Assurance

As part of the marketing and design division, I contributed to the development of original treatments for brand logos and marks, exploring fresh creative approaches to align with Fox Racing's visual identity. I collaborated closely with textile and graphic designers, gaining hands-on experience in designing for both apparel and marketing assets. My role involved shadowing senior designers to understand the full creative process, from concept ideation to execution, while supporting the team with production-ready designs and brand explorations.
