I've worked in design since Apr 2009, beginning as a  Designer for Hurley, then circling back to Hurley after a period at  Fyasko and Billabong.

In 2018, I left Hurley to pursue a product-based business I created out of my garage called Tenikle. The business is mainly online and has been built to run on autopilot, so now I'm seeking new opportunities. 

What I've learned over the years is how to make profitable product lines through good design, a holistic approach, and trend-hot marketability.

I've chosen to continue to enjoy a career in illustration and design as it's the most fulfilling and rewarding day to day task.

Invented, DIY patented, engineered, sourced, developed, filmed, marketed, launched, successfully crowdfunded over $170,000 in pre-orders, designed website, built e-commerce flow and back-end, developed marketing assets, built automated remote staff force, re-developed, designed retail packaging, over $1.5m revenue generated.

Lots of fun challenges. Lots of learning. Lots of stress, and wins.

I developed a method to easily and efficiently make any complicated pattern into a seamless repeat.

I dabbled in other areas such as product development, project direction, line planning, merchandising, seasonal color direction.

I created SKUs for SMU and In Line, including some pieces that have amassed revenue in the high 6 figure+ range.

I've also created 'art-forward' designs that have broken internal sales records in the category.

I'll be honest, it wasn't fun. Right during the large layoff sweeps in 2012/2013, I was able to leave on my own terms avoiding any cuts. Great people, interesting challenges, extreme hours. Learned a lot about large businesses and how to market crashes by adapting on the fly.
