I'm Heather, an Orange County based designer originally from the Bay Area. I have a street style aesthetic with a hint of LA gloss. I graduated from FIDM studying Apparel Design & Product Development. My passion is to create lifestyle apparel that is flexible to fit into our ever changing day to day. Categories that interest me are activewear/athleisure and loungewear. 

Additionally, I have experience in graphic design for apparel and am continuing to extend my skills into 3D design.

Create seasonal conceptualization for women and kids categories. Manage entire design process from initial market research, mood board creation, hand sketching, flat sketching and proto type creation.  Create apparel graphic artwork for all in line categories, collaborations and licensed apparel. Improved product development process with domestic/International vendors with a new tracking system.  Strategize fabric sourcing with vendors for all material selections for each collection.

Executed designs for hip hop, lyrical, and contemporary categories ages 6 - 21. Collaborated with tech design, pattern makers, product development team for all stages of the product development process and production quality control.  Generated customer data and trend analysis by traveling domestically for dance competitions. Research competitor analysis to adjust future collections and company’s immediate needs. 

Designer 

Created designs for woven bottoms and sportswear that reflected the company’s business strategies. Streamlined fabric sourcing process with domestic and international vendors. Maintained all in line styles using Enovia PLM system. Collaborated with tech design and product development team to ensure standards are met. Strategized with design director for future collections and SMU styles. Established the first athleisure line capsule and restored legging business by 30%.  

Associate Designer 

Managed all woven categories for men and women GBYGuess collections.  Achieved maximum efficiency by developing company standard fit blocks for each year.  Managed product development process by implementing vendor sampling WIP reports. 
Executed all fittings with designers, design directors, and product development team.  Communicated with all international vendors to ensure all specs and construction guidelines are met.Created all tech packs that include block pattern, specs, construction, and reference sample. 


Technical Designer

Responsible for assisting with all divisions, which include Men’s, boys, girls, Junior Branded, junior fashion tops, junior fashion bottoms, swim, and promo. Create all specification sheets for all styles to be prepared before all fitting. Assist in fittings for junior fashion tops and girls categories.
