Heather Gray: Dance Teacher in Boulder, CO

I teach modern and contemporary dance to all ages at SLO Movement Arts. It's my intention to teach my students not only technique and movement, but also the value in self expression, community, and creativity. I currently teach two classes a week.

As the Campaign Coordinator for the Central Coast Labor Council, I was in charge of organizing walks for 30 local Unions in San Luis Obispo and Santa Maria, California. We had hundreds of volunteers and knocked on thousands of doors for over 10 weeks, helping to elect candidates into over 20 offices in the Central Coast. This campaign job ended with the election, and due to my enthusiasm for building community and hard work, I have been invited back for any future campaigns.

I worked as part time stage manager for dance performances under the Technical Director of the Dairy Center for the Arts. Responsibilities included but not limited to; organizing schedules and performers, assisting in focusing lights, call times/places for performers, loading in/out shows, striking shows, organizing and setting props, changing light gels/filters during performances, calling cues, and giving notes to artists/performers.

As the Office Manager, I coordinated the schedules of two doctors and a massage therapist in a busy office. My tasks included but were not limited to; patient communications, scheduling, insurance billing, maintaining the office day to day, following privacy and confidentiality HIPAA regulations, inventory, accounting, social media, and being a welcoming and grounding energy to welcome patients.

I assisted in Modern, Ballet, and Choreography classes, as well as organized fundraising events to raise money for student performances.
