o To research events in the market area to best benefit the company and gather potential customer information. Organize these events to have the best possible visibility, draw spectators over to our area and provide the best information and branded items. o Select what branded items would go best per event, work with multiple vendors on pricing and quality of items. o Work each event, have the ability to drive a trailer with a large vehicle, lift heavy items and set-up. o Organize with multiple departments within the company, creative (for flyers, POP, web design), Public Relations Director to decide on best advertising tactics, Accounts Payable to have each event vendor paid in the appropriate amount of time. Also, communicate with the sales team to coordinator workers for the event and work the event coaching the staff on how to track registrations and best practices when getting the attention of those walking by. o At each event we have a register-to-win. I decide what that would be to best interest the demographic. Then, post event, I draw a winner and organize with them how to best receive their prize and meet at an nTelos location for a picture opportunity for social media. o Per each event I send pictures and information to our social media team. For our larger events I plan a social media contest and organize the details with the social media team. o Send Monday morning event recap. and event’s for the week, emails to the market. Also, coordinate and conduct meetings to go over details for major events and have a meeting with the Sales Director, Marketing and Sponsorships Manager, Area Leaders, and Account Executives about the events for the year, what we should change, events that did work well, ones that didn’t and possible events for the next year. o Visit all stores in the state and preform a Merchandising Audit once a quarter to insure they are maintaining the companies standard and going over the check list with the store leader. Then coach on best practices and the reason we make specific choices and rules. o Work with the local Chambers of Commerce per store to stay involved with the community and pay membership due. o Turn in an expense report each month. I travel the span of the state monthly and pay for event materials with a corporate credit card and company vehicle. o Present events, and a Merchandising All-Star Award, for my market at a company wide sales-rally once a year. As well as helping with a variety of activities and set-up for this event. In the company, we have Core Value Awards based on what we consider to be our “core values.” To receive these awards, you have to be nominated by a coworker. I have received five of these awards in my time with nTelos Wireless thus far.

o As a marketing intern, I worked with the data receive per event, worked a multitude of on-mountain events, and was the MC on several Snowshoe Mountain videos about summertime events and continued this into the winter with snowmaking video and events. I also worked with social media writing blog posts about events and designed several Facebook profile pictures. o Also, during the winter season of 2011/2012 I was a snowboard instructor as I also worked with the marketing team. Being on Snowshoe Mountain TV year round, being asked back to help with videos, as well as helping with ski school operations my first year being an instructor.
