Assistant Manager of Product Development - Sportswear, Denim & Outerwear | 10/2013 - Current

Fabric/Trim R&D -Order lab dips + sample yardage for lining each season -Vendor Source for design -Source new fabrications -Collect FDS, ITR, Color Block Testing -Work with Trend + Color office to name and set leather/suede as standard Mock Up Management -Source and develop mock-ups to hand off to design -Assign vendor allocation Vendor Communication -Daily emails solving various issues in development stage -Think creatively and strategically to ensure garment meets deadline for milestone meetings -Manage Sample Tracking Chart, save cost + commits -Partner with Fabric R&D to communicate sample yardage or sub fabrics if needed -Meet in house with vendors to review new samples, discuss communication, issues etc Sample Management -Vendor tracking chart sent daily with updates tracking the beginning stages of garments (Prototypes, mock-ups and development samples) -Track/Review tech packs, add to vendor tracking chart -Check in mail, hand of to Creative Tech Designer Wear Test Management: -Request wear tests/tailoring samples for new fabrics put into work -Prep garment and paperwork for the participants -Track dates and calculate results -Present results to Design + Fabric R&D team CAD Management: -Manage tracking reports in WebPDM for weekly meeting -Attend weekly CAD meetings to discuss, artwork, styles, sample yardage etc. -Partner with Design and Fabric team to determine base fabric Costing + TNA -Land FOB garments, apply duty, freight etc. -Organize costing and TNA received from vendors -Enter department information into WebPDM for line sheets (initial cost, landed cost, NDC date factory, commit dates and any additional comments highlight cost drivers or concerns -Be able to note what is driving the cost of garment (Fabric, construction, trims, timing etc) L&D CLASSES -Denim 101 Dry processing -Denim 102 Wet processing -Manage Branding You -Technical Design Basics -Sportswear Manufacturing
