My experience as an established Yacht Captain has allowed me to learn and develop the necessary skills related to the technical, managerial, operational, financial and maintenance facets of a high value asset.

I believe that my maritime experience and skillset can translate into a shore-based role where I can transfer my knowledge, skills and competency into a role that will provide new challenges and experiences.

My career goal is to continue evolving my knowledge, skills and experience through exposure to new industries and emerging technologies that are defining our future and the world around us.

Being a surfer and every facet of what it entails and the rewards it has given to me is ingrained in every inch of my body and mind.  The last 40 years as a surfer have taken me all over the world to places obvious and some of them not as much in the search for waves and new experiences.

The opportunities that I have had from being able to travel the world and experience so many incredible adventures have been the foundation of my life.  

As much as surfing is in my blood, I have also had the ability and opportunity to try many different watersports through my life.  More recently, windsurfing, kiting and foiling have gotten me excited about new ways to experience the ocean.

•	For almost 22 years I have had the extraordinary privilege to work for some incredible and inspirational Principals on motor yachts ranging from 68 to 365 feet.
•	Through vocational education, mentorship and a list of experiences too vast to mention I have been defined and shaped as a person and a professional mariner in this amazing industry.  
•	My extensive experience in this sector includes but is not limited to; yacht maintenance & repair, navigation, boat handling & maneuvering, maritime code compliances, operational management, guest service & hospitality, crew recruitment, crew management & training, budget planning & implementation, accounting, payroll, concierge, logistics, travel & itinerary planning and many other related tasks relative to my position.
•	My profession has truly allowed me to wear many hats on a daily basis with the primary focus to provide 5-Star levels of service and hospitality to both private and charter guests onboard.


CAPTAIN - SUPERYACHT INDUSTRY

•	Worked as a couples’ team on a large Hertfordshire estate for UHNW prinicipal and their large family.
•	Responsible for maintenance of grounds, main residence, guest annexes, outbuildings, potting shed, swimming pools, tennis courts, cricket field, cars and boat.
•	Working directly on a daily basis with principal and his wife to maintain all assets in pristine and ready to use condition.


ESTATE MANAGER

•	During this period, I worked through various positions within my parents’ family businesses.  Diversity was not lacking as I fulfilled varied roles in a glass and aluminum supply warehouse, multiple restaurants, a vacation rental company and in jewelry stores.
•	The I time spent working with my parents established the basis of my work ethic and professional ambitions but most importantly sculpted the values of persistence, loyalty and giving 110% commitment to any task.


PARTNER

•	Distribution and Warehouse Manager for this company that was the Southern African agency for Rip Curl Wetsuits, Dr. Zogs Sex Wax, Clark Foam and various other surf brands.
•	Deeply involved with all facets of retail operations, wetsuit manufacturing, product warehousing and distribution logistics.
