Isaac Arjonilla is a travel photographer, photo editor, and producer based in Los Angeles. He previously worked as Director of Photography for Morris Media Network and a photojournalist at the Orange County Register. He graduated from UCLA, where he received his B.A. in English Literature.

• Photograph editorial stories for several types of subject matter including lifestyle, fashion, food, documentary, travel, and sports
• Research visually compelling photography for stories, negotiate competitive licensing rates and deliver assets in a timely manner
• Communicate with designers, editors, and publishers to ensure deadlines and budgets are met throughout project timeline.
• Photograph editorial stories for several types of subject matter including lifestyle, fashion, food, documentary, travel, and sports
• Oversee post-production retouching process including cropping, color correction,  photo mark-ups and resizing for web-ready deliveries


• Managed and oversaw the company’s visual strategy, ensured visual content was consistent throughout the Where® brand worldwide and edited and retouched visual assets before publishing

• Coordinated and designed projects for over 50 different publications within the Morris Media Network portfolio
• Produced high-quality editorial and advertising photography in over a dozen different national markets; saved over $120,000 from 2015-2019 by conducting on-location shoots and expanding the company’s in-house visuals portfolio

• Supervised photographers, photo editors, and videographers during photoshoot productions, provided on-set art direction, resolved on-set problems and researched new photographic talent 

• Developed a highly intuitive, collaborative cataloging system that facilitated image recalling, invoice payment, and copyright licenses; curated and  managed a high-volume digital archive of visual assets

• Oversaw annual photography budgets for all publications, assessed costs and risks for new projects, and developed accurate project timelines 

• Conducted extensive photo research, communicated with photo and talent agencies to obtain assets and copyrights, negotiated competitive licensing rates and contracts, established new photography vendors, and facilitated intellectual copyright issues

Director of Photography

• Organized, style, and photographed clothing and accessories for Fashion and Products magazine section; set up portable fashion and product studio

• Produced and photograph lifestyle, cultural, food, fashion, and marketing photo shoots throughout the island

• Collaborated with stylists, creative directors, videographers, and photographers to produce fashion shoots; scouted locations and created shoot schedule

• Managed and oversaw photography archives and photography budgets


Photo Producer, Photographer, Photo Editor

• Covered 2-3 assignments daily for newspapers including Orange County Register, The Current, Fountain Valley View, Dana Point News,  Sun Post News, and Long Beach Register; photo assignments included sports, breaking news, travel, food, portraiture, and studio
• Researched and pitched photo essay concepts; conceptualized visual elements with editors and art directors for publications during weekly meetings  
• Interviewed sources during breaking news coverage and contributed written articles for print and web

• Led department of over 50 photographers; assigned daily shoots, planned multimedia projects, and increased online viewership 
• Created and executed an online assignment system that modernized, streamlined, and increased productivity in the department
• Developed branding and visual identities for departments; designed newspaper covers and online content
