Seeking an Accounting Manager or Senior Accountant position where my skills as a detail and results oriented accounting professional with a proven track record of success in leading areas of general accounting, financial reporting, auditing and tax can be utilized.

•	Develop accounting policies/procedures and internal controls in a start-up environment.
•	Manage all company fixed assets that are located in multiple states throughout the U.S.
•	Complete all monthly close activities and perform expense analysis of branch locations.
•	Reconcile all balance sheet accounts and record/monitor daily corporate banking activities.
•	Prepare company tax returns including personal property, sales/use and franchise tax.
•	Successfully coordinated the implementation of a new accounting system (Microsoft Dynamics/Great Plains) that expanded reporting capabilities of multiple business units.


•	Coordinated the accounting close and preparation of financial statements for $150 million division.      
•	Effectively handled monthly general ledger responsibilities including:
-	Prepared journal entries to record payroll, accruals, cost transfers, inventory, allocations and reserves. 
-	Analyzed and reconciled balance sheet accounts and inter-company transactions.
-	Managed cash activities by reconciling all bank accounts, monitoring cash receipts, wire transfers, ACH, check disbursements and created positive pay bank files.
•	Overall responsibility for division tax activities in the following areas:
-	Prepared sales/use tax and personal property returns for multiple states.
-	Coordinated the completion of annual corporate income tax package schedules.
-	Responded to tax notices, audits and resolved issues with taxing authorities (IRS and states).
