Jacqueline recently graduated from San Diego State University with a Bachelor's degree in Journalism: emphasis in Media Studies with a minor in Political Science and is actively pursing full-time employment. Her background is in customer relations, marketing, content management, social media, journalism, and lifestyle writing/blogging. She is experienced in customer service, writing, editing, and creative development. Jacqueline has proved to be hard working, goal oriented, and a team player.

Impressive industry exposure gained through various project management roles, which began in Account Services at Civilian, a full-service advertising agency in San Diego. Jacqueline interned at Civilian and was eventually hired full-time as a remote Web Development Coordinator for the creation of a client's new website. Most recently,  she worked as a Marketing and Public Relations Assistant for Arup, a global architectural design and engineering firm, editing and developing compelling communications content, including media pitches, editorial stories, project pages, and news releases. 

Jacqueline is very active and enjoys being a part of the community by being outdoors and doing activities including surfing, yoga, and hiking. To say the least, she's not afraid to put herself out there and truly be herself. 

• Developed, drafted, and edited compelling communications content, including media pitches, editorial stories, project pages, and news releases
• Reviewed and edited narrative technical content for clarity, consistency, and alignment with Arup’s in-house style guide

Marketing and Public Relations Assistant 

• Utilized softwares, "Gather Content" and "OmniUpdate", to migrate thousands of pages of content that included text copy, PDFs, images, and links for the creation of client's new website
• QA to ensure all content is accurate and links work
• Proofread for spelling, grammar, and punctuation errors and maintained proper spacing and font size related to the overall design of each webpage
• Reviewed and tracked deliverables in spreadsheet that was shared across migration team.
• Performed work remotely from a dedicated home office and attended weekly status calls via “Zoom” to review progress and maintain strong communication.

Web Development (Remote/ Contract Postion) 

Shadowed Account Executive and completed a number of different department jobs, daily tasks, and projects with many of Civilian’s valued clients.
Specific Client Experience:
• San Diego & Imperial Counties Community Colleges Career Education Marketing Campaign:
-Reviewed website, creative, and media planning briefs and attended client marketing committee meetings and weekly status calls
-Coordinated a 6-day, 10-location community college photoshoot for use in assets across the regional marketing plan
-Reviewed and tracked all labor and hard costs on a monthly basis via Workamajig

• San Diego Metropolitan Transit System (MTS):
-Researched and vetted trademarks, and organized an agency and client brainstorm for a rebrand of one of their products

• LiveWell@Work:
-Scheduled and organized participants for key informant interviews 

• San Diego Association of Governments (SANDAG) & FasTrak Toll Road’s 5-Year Marketing & Communications plan: 
-Helped facilitate and attend SANDAG Focus Groups to acquire insights from 125 South Bay Expressway and I-15 Express Lanes' users for a new web portal communications plan

• Mission Hospital:
-Analyzed teen substance use data and developed graphs to aide in client review 

Account Services (Paid Internship) 

• Maintained high levels of customer satisfaction to acquire and uphold strong customer relationships. 
• Met and exceeded daily quotas of $4500 in sales and responsible for motivating and leading sales team to help achieve daily sales goals.
