Senior Project Smart Baby Crib

UTEP - August 2013 to May 2014

• Designed and implemented from idea to prototype a Smart Crib that uses microcontrollers, sensors to trigger a sound module and motor, to play music, rock crib as well as identify parents via wireless module of status of the baby

• Motion, microphone, and infrared thermometer monitored baby's status and health via communication with MSP430 microcontroller and CC1101 radio transceiver

• Designed code, schematic, PCB layout, purchased, soldered, built and tested final prototype via user requirements

• Used Microsoft Project to assign tasks and make sure deadlines were met with the other team member

• Several presentations made to students, faculty, and public demonstrations
