The future of the industry is marrying fashion, function and social responsibility – consumers are demanding more from brands and looking to connect on a deeper level – something I want to be on the forefront of moving forward. This is possible by using the most current sustainable technologies in combination with the best design and construction so the customer will see value in not just the sustainability part of the garment but the whole package, I believe many brands are failing at this by stripping down sustainable products to make them as cheap as possible only to loose the original spark of excitement about a new product. We can increase the market share for sustainability with better design not just lower prices.

I am capable of quickly and accurately moving my projects from concept to execution, all the while multi-tasking through fittings, market and trend research and competitive analysis. I feel confident working through any challenge presented to me and I work hard to ensure the menswear department shines at every possible opportunity. I am committed to being an industry expert in my categories, taking the time to analyze the market, understand the competitive landscape, forecast trends and constantly stay relevant on manufacturing techniques. And I also act as a resource for other team members, always sharing my industry knowledge and research as well as making myself available and approachable as a sounding board for advice. Design premium performance and casual collection styles for the competitive fishing brand Gillz and casual lifestyle brand Reel Life for Spring 2020, Fall 2020, Spring 2021.
-Created specific custom trend, color, fabric and trims presentation after completing brand immersion
-Sourced new fabric and vendors to achieve new visionary approach to fishing apparel
-Designed and developed 30+ styles each season from concept to SMS
-Managed and created all fit and sizing requirements for the vendors to follow for each garment

Consulting Design Manager

Design premium outdoor lifestyle collection styles for the fall 2020 men’s collection showcase
-Created specific custom trend, color, fabric and trims presentation after completing brand immersion
-Designed 15 unique styles including flat, filled sketches, merchandised for each style
-Delivered digital/hard copy trend, sketch, fabric, color, merchandise cads for all styles

Lead and manage all aspects of the full men’s sportswear collection across all categories: hike, travel,run, bike, and casual performance knits, woven, sweaters, fleece, graphics and innovation. Increase in sales over 300% in 2 years.
-Expertise in global product development, materials application, technical fit, color development and complex construction
-Point of contact for overseas office/factories, lead sourcing contact for pricing, sourcing and fabric
-Create sku plan, design calendar and manage product life cycle from concept to delivery innovation; seamless construction, bonded garment construction, etc.
-Manage men's sportswear team, lead internal reviews, design lead for sales and trade show presentations and pitches
-Create seasonal color palettes, sales boards, catalogs and merchandise collection for each season
-Develop new trims, applicable brand logo applications for each category
-Develop packaging graphics, hang tags, sales collateral for sportswear line

Senior Men’s Designer - Sourcing Production Lead

Lead the Men’s knits and sweaters division, responsible for overseeing the entire product design process for cut and sew, sweaters, and performance/athleisure for runway, collection, and wholesale
-Research global markets to identify new trends, fabrics, techniques, and overall concepts for team and cross functional partners to become synonymous with contemporary style and quality
-Create and present multiple quarterly line presentations to sales, merchandising, and major buyers
-Develop new and price appropriate fabrics and garments by working closely with in house and overseas sourcing teams, fabric/yarn vendors, and garment makers by visiting fabric trade shows, traveling to international vendors, and creating detailed inspiration direction reports
-Manage a team of two direct reports to produce twelve deliveries in five seasons annually, efficiently completing all projects within the time and action calendar
-Responsible for final approval through all stages of technical fittings, lab-dips, knit-downs,strike offs, and hand-looms

Senior Men’s Designer

Created a fashionable, affordable cohesive collection for Men's cut and sew, outerwear, and woven tops
-Presented trend research to director and team and provide recommendations regarding seasonal themes, color, edits to line, new/emerging concepts
-Analyzed fashion, retail and consumer behavior trends as well as wash/finish techniques, color,  materials, design, sustainability and other applicable elements to identify possible opportunities for innovative and cost effective design
-Created comprehensive and detailed tech packs for proto's and sales samples which helped to achieve the highest adoption rate for Men’s Cut and Sew in 2013 (highest rate in JFS New York office)
-Managed all aspects of technical fittings for cut and sew, woven shirts, tailored, and outerwear

Men's Designer

Collaborated with Director and Senior Designer to design outerwear for Guess? and other licenses:
-Created sketches and tech packs for 200+ prototypes for each season, simultaneously managed different stages of multiple seasons for all competencies
-Seasonal trend research utilizing online and print publications, local store shopping and cataloged runway images for silhouette, construction and color inspiration
-Designed new metal, rubber, and woven trims for each season
-Partnered with mills to develop new fabrics, determine costs and availability for selected designs including all sales samples for domestic and international partners
-Created final production tech packs and initial specs using Web PDM
-Created presentation boards for internal and licensee presentations

Associate Men’s Outerwear Designer

Lead and manage all aspects of the men’s knitwear collection from concept to production
-Created 50+ unique contemporary designs each season, including artwork for prints, intarsia, jacquard's and embroideries
-Merchandised collections for seasonal color palettes based on online trend and
market research for New York and California
-Conducted fittings and created tech packs for all selected styles
-Communicated daily with Shanghai team to ensure correct and timely execution for all designs
-Managed trade show presentations in New York and Las Vegas, created line sheets, color cards and layout displays
-Styled and directed photo shoots for look books each season
-Collaborated with outside P.R. agency to attract press attention
-Created stitch library
