•   Prepare SEC filings, required disclosures, and supporting documents
•   Research and implement technical accounting policies, such as for ASC 606 (Revenue Recognition) and ASC 842 (Leases).

•   Prepare audit documentation and communicate accounting policies and procedures to audit
personnel.

Own key areas of the monthly close process, including recording transactions, accruals,
performing bank and other balance sheet reconciliations, and managing accounts receivable.
•   Overseeing bookkeeper for recording of credit card and utility transactions and maintaining
accounts receivable ledger.
•   Assist with the development, documentation, and maintenance of corporate accounting
policies, procedures, and controls.
•   Support external and internal auditors by being a primary point of contact representing the monthly close and external reporting processes.
•   Prepare the Quarterly and Annual Reports on Forms 10-Q and 10-K as required for a large
publicly traded company, along with supporting schedules and narratives.
•   Create or assist on ad-hoc projects to CAO, CFO, or VP of Accounting as needed.
Corporate Staff Accountant
•   Prepared and recorded journal entries required to reflect the monthly and quarterly activity.
•   Assisted with transactions impacting the corporate ledger including a wide range of accruals for Corporate related expenses and interest/amortization on various debt and assets.
•   Prepared reconciliations of month end balances.
•   Kept adequate documentation for key SOX controls and processes, helping to maintain effective
internal controls.

Senior Corporate Accountant

Contributed to the planning, substantive testing, and concluding areas of the audit for two
financial services organizations
•   Responsible for analyzing financial data and applying appropriate accounting principles and auditing standards to support conclusions related to the year-end audit testing in areas such as
stock compensation, convertible and mortgage backed debt, and residential loans
•   Assisted in the preparation of the consolidation controls walkthrough and financial reporting
controls walkthrough for a public investment management company
