Josh Snodgrass: Co-Founder / Design / Cultural Curation in Nashville, TN

Started in 2018, VMCo. is the partnering between myself and a friend/ex-HEXBUG coworker. Bringing our talents, network and eye for design together to help make the world a more inspiring and better looking place to live. We do any form of visual design but specialize in product, illustration and graphic design. Since 2018, we have grown in projects and clientele—giving the ability to bring on a mechanical engineer and animator/motion designer. We have worked and collaborated with small businesses to multi-million dollar companies all across the United States, spanning from bakeries to large scale kids products.

As an Associate Designer I had the opportunity to expand my scope to touch other existing licenses (Kate Spade and Diesel), as well as, independently design the initial silhouette/collection for PUMA upon securing the license. I also helped start/kickoff/create and design the sustainable/solar watch brand 111 Watches with Fossil. I worked on all of these opportunities in tandem with designing for CHAPS. During this time I also designed successful (internal) merch for a Fossil x Movember Foundation Collaboration. After special consideration/selection, in 2018, I was shifted off of the licensed sector to the “owned” brands side of Fossil. Here I was given the opportunity become Lead Designer for 111 Watches and Collaboration/Special Projects Division. With an eye for cultural curation and aesthetically pleasing design I was given semi complete control over design and the strategy. In this position I was able to attend trade shows/events like Complexcon, Agenda and the Outdoor Trade Show in Denver.

Worked as an Assistant Designer under an Associate CD on the CHAPS License. Worked directly with Polo Ralph Lauren Team & internal Fossil Brand Team to create successful collections that complimented their seasonal palettes. Had the opportunity to design 1 independent silhouette for CHAPS Men’s under this role.

JD- Worked under 2 upper level designers, but had the opportunity to independently design 42+ SKUs and received Toy of the Year Award (Educational) in 2016. Designed products for VEX Engineering, HEXBUG and Tony Hawk Lines. ED- Had the opportunity to design the Private HEXBUG booth for the 2015 New York Toy Fair.
