In 2008 Joshua Mischke started Heart in Colorado.  Josh had been inspired by the Heart in Oregon Company and their unique stickers when he lived in Portland Oregon in 2007 and 2008.  Josh had just moved back to Denver, Colorado from Portland, Oregon and wanted to take the same concept and move the feeling of Heart in Oregon to Colorado, Josh’s home state.  Josh liked the idea of adding the Heart in Colorado creation to a larger national campaign and agreed to sell the company to Chris Bucci - the founder of Heart in Oregon, who later went on to form the Heart Sticker Company which brings the original love of Heart in Oregon to each state. Founder

In this position, Joshua Mischke gathered petition signatures from the general public for statewide and local ballot initiatives.  Josh approached potential petition signers in public locations, educated signers on ballot initiatives, managed the signature process and delivered signed petitions to the campaign manager.  Joshua managed a self-directed time and location schedule and managed 2-5 petition campaigns at a time.

Field Representative

Joshua Mischke Interacted with potential clients and sold software and information technology services. Josh's job was to solicit businesses and corporations of all kinds and sizes in the Denver metro area and to be the first point of contact in Cygen's sales and marketing strategy.  Joshua’s efforts included generating numerous leads for follow up sales calls, helping develop the Cygen sales lead generation program, and developing messaging to be communicated to the target market.  Josh wrote the first edition of Cygen’s training manual and sales lead generation script.

Joshua Mischke managed fund fundraising and political outreach teams.  Josh trained staff members in the office and in the field, coordinated fundraising territories, and performed cash management and accounting duties for the fundraising office.  Josh conducted door-to-door canvasing operations and met quota standards for weekly campaign contribution requirements.  Joshua's teams sold an intangible product in a 100% commission based, outside sales, environment.

At Smith-Wogrin, Josh Mischke worked with Account Executives and Creative Directors in various support roles on multiple advertising campaigns for both local and national brands.  Joshua was able to fine tune his communications and marketing skills in this multifaceted position.

Advertising Coordinator

As a Senior in High school, Joshua Mischke founded a window cleaning start up.  He was the owner and operator of Southwest Window Cleaning and ran all aspects of the business from customer service, to advertising, to accounting.  Josh hired independent contractors to assist with cleaning window cleaning projects when needed and developed a client book of approximately 50 accounts.  Josh ran the company primarily in the summer season between college semesters until he eventually relocated to Denver, CO.  Joshua’s most notable client was Scott Randall Tipton, the U.S. Representative for Colorado's 3rd congressional district.
