Beanie product development project

Youth knit beanie product development project: collaborating closely with a talented graphic designer and as the factory liaison. Working through embroidery sizing, lining construction challenges, and yarn lab dip approvals. 

Women's base layer fit tested and approved!

I created and fit-approved these baselayer designs, working with a talented patternmaker and sewers. We collaborated to perfect the fit of many new pants and top designs across various size ranges.

overseas production.

Apparel design & product development 

-Lead the development of all Sunday Afternoons branded products by providing expertise on the product
development process from initial design through to final production.
-Managed line plan and details pertaining to all new styles.
-Work closely with Design, Merchandising, and Production Departments.
-Create and maintain Technical Data Packages, BOMs, and Specs for all styles.
-Manage costing from initial quotes to final production, providing solutions to costing challenges, and communicating information through to merchandising and finance teams.
-Lead fit sessions following through from internal samples to factory size runs and pre-production samples.
-Travel to factories every 6 months to work through new designs, costing, and seasonal calendar.
-In Charge of safety and UPF testing of all Sunday Afternoons branded products.
-Development of Trims, from inception to mold approval and production.
-Entered all excel bill of materials into Centric, helping Sunday Afternoons make full use of their PLM system.

Senior Product Developer

-Held roles including Senior Product Developer, Designer, and Senior Apparel Designer
-Managed internal sample room, patternmaker, design, and development staff
-Worked with U.S. factories to manage quality, pricing, and timelines
-Led design, development, fit, and prototypes through concept to approval
-Directed budget planning for R&D
-Managed Blue Cherry PLM and issued purchase orders for trims

Senior apparel designer and product developer 

-Designed outerwear, accessories, and youth lines for 686 and Sepia
-Doubled glove line sales within the first year
-Reduced costs by $50K through strategic sourcing

Merchandiser - Apparel designer

- Translated design concepts into cost-effective, production-ready garments
