· Responsible for measuring and evaluating construction on samples through written documentation, visual images, and technical sketches as needed to communicate detailed sample corrections with the assistance of the Technical Designer. · Schedules fit sessions on live models. Participates in fit sessions, taking notes, and taking photos for other team members. · Assist with documenting garment measurements, tolerances, grade rules, construction details, and additional technical requirements using KUIU’s defined format for tech pack creation. · Maintains sample library, interlining library, and manages model database. · Support product wear testing throughout development · Articulates brand standards to all parties, agents, and manufacturers · Leverages technical knowledge and leadership support to brainstorm, troubleshoot and resolve issues that require an innovative approach · Works closely and collaborates with the technical design, product development, and design teams to ensure processes are meeting internal documentation standards.

• Assist in managing product development process from proto through production for handbags, belts, scarfs, cold weather accessories, socks, ball caps, and jewelry • Support head product manager in managing the process from line freeze through production. • Responsible for 300-500 styles per season totaling almost 2,000 styles by year-end • Work directly with 15+ different domestic and international factories to ensure pre-production samples, and top-of-production samples are managed properly to ensure quality, on-time product. • Support head product manager in managing the placement of purchase orders. Review quantities, logistics details, delivery dates, and pricing before purchase orders are sent to vendors. • Manage all data entry needs by creating WIP reports and logging purchase orders. Input sample comments into Box system to ensure vendors have a clear understanding of approvals or rejections for private label accessories. • Build strong working relationships with vendors and cross-functional teams to help foster an environment of partnership and trust. • Communicate delivery and re-order information to buying teams. • Support the design team by providing communication between these teams and overseas or domestic vendors. • Work closely with logistics and distribution center regarding shipping and delivery issues to ensure the product is received in time to hit store floors

Collaborated with 10+ designers globally (France, Australia, USA) to develop seasonal and core trims. Coordinated samples with 6 nominated suppliers until all trims are approved for bulk production. Worked daily in FlexPLM creating trims, tracking samples, and maintaining material library. Generated 6 trim reports on a weekly basis for nominated suppliers to ensure that trim deadlines were met. Generated 10-50 tech packs weekly, containing measurement set to be uploaded to Truefit.com

Learned to navigate Flex PLM to assist the Technical Designers with entering measurements from samples Assisted the 6 Technical Designers with measuring all incoming samples, for women’s swim, men’s and boy’s swim, women’s and men’s snow, men’s and boy’s t-shirts, women’s knit tops and bottoms, men’s’ and boy’s fleece. Sat in on 2 fitting sessions weekly and gave feedback for improvements on fit of garments Observed technical designers writing comments and fixed patterns that would be sent to factories.
