A current psychology undergrad student who's searching for a new pathway in my future careers. My current career working as a waitress has taught me so much about myself, such as growing as a more confident person, learning that looking after the customer is always top priority and it's something that I enjoy doing, but also that working in a team environment is where I excel at the most. Working at different restaurants has given me the opportunity to work in different job roles, such as experience in bar tending, working in the back of house such as in the kitchen, cleaning and organising the stock, but also working as a cleaner/maintenance for the company. I am currently study psychology as an undergraduate at Leeds Beckett university, I am looking to further my career in psychology by gaining experience to work as team leaders and work with an array of people. I like to work in an organised manner working logically and efficiently and always like to get my work completed on time. I am keen to continue learning and would be happy learning new skills at the same time as gaining practical experience.

Working for just over 2 years at TGI Fridays, I've worked in multiple different stores, with trinity Leeds being my 'home' store. At the start of my time there I worked as a 'serving assistant' which involved running food, drinks, cleaning tables and generally just helping out around the restaurant, over time I've progressed to working as a door host, which involved a lot of logical placement around the restaurant such as sitting tables, holding wait times at the door and so on. After really becoming myself in the business I progress to certify as a waitress, this gave me chance to showcase myself as Keely and really get involved, with working in the kitchen and behind the bar as some opportunities, but really getting to know the customers and being able to work with them one on one. Using my own knowledge to fix issues or complaints, but also make the guests time there a fun and enjoyable experience.

The job involved greeting and looking after customers, taking orders and ensure they are correct, also answering any questions the customers may possibly have. Serving food to the tables and making sure they were happy with food, solving any problems to the best of my abilities. I also dealt with using the cash machine, adding orders and taking the bill meaning I cope well with responsibility of the customers. I have gained a basic knowledge of coffee's, the coffee machine, and other drinks and knowledge of food and general processes of the kitchen and restaurant setting.
