Experience:
• Work closely with designers, creative directors, technical designers and patternmakers to develop garments and problem-solve pattern corrections.
• Measure & evaluate fit samples through all stages, ensuring samples meet: required specs, garment construction requirements, workmanship standards, and follow artwork.
• Participate in design hand off meetings to understand the design vision and create initial tech packs.
• Take ownership of individual accounts on behalf of senior technical designer.
• Conduct fittings while taking detailed fit notes. Address quality issues during the fit approval phase to develop an action plan for corrections. 
• Execute fit comments in a timely manner to ensure fit process stays in line with the production timeline.
• Manage the product life cycle from development to fit and pre-production approval.
• Inspect samples to match approvals that uphold account and brand standards. Call out issues to production team. Maintain organization of all approved fit samples from multiple accounts.
• Create technical packages including: construction, measure guides, Bill of Materials, and spec sheets.
• Make recommendations in collaboration with cross-functional teams on matters pertaining to specs, pattern, construction methods and techniques to improve fit, balance, and overall garment quality. 
• Work with overseas vendors on fit and construction, problem-solve fit issues. 
• Collaborate with Product Development, Design and the Production teams to ensure deadlines are met.
• Create costing tech packs, development tech packs, and production tech packs in the PLM system. 
• Create and track samples of product life cycles for multiple accounts. 
• Perform design and construction research of competitors. 

• Brought on to create detailed technical packages for Missy Contemporary Lifestyle Collection with responsibility for supporting multiple designers and coordinating with overseas factories to ensure timely execution of import development. 
• Attended fittings to provide input and feedback, prepare fit notes, and create call out illustrations.
• Played key role in design development from fabric sourcing and sketching to photo spec creation and price negotiation.
• Entrusted to maintain domestic and overseas fabric swatches, trims, yarns, and notions libraries as well as sample garment room.
• Conducted market research and analyzed competitors to identify industry trends and opportunities.
• Prepared sketches for various silhouettes, measured daily samples, analyzed and revised patterns, and monitored proto samples for fit, quality, construction, and execution.
• Performed a broad range of administrative tasks in support of Director while also attending buying meetings.

Assistant Fashion Designer

• Worked closely with Designer, Pattern Maker and Sample Maker on technical construction and fit issues for this women’s lifestyle collection with European design sensibility. 
• Assisted Designer in color selection, quality of lab dips and approval of fit within development and production timelines; measured pre-production samples from manufacturers for fittings and data input.
• Accurately created and edited tech packs for international communication of size, pre-production and production samples, which include sketching and measuring samples.
• Responsible for creating and editing line sheets in Adobe Illustrator to ensure correct style names, colors, materials and sketches.

• Coordinated incoming and outgoing samples and used Microsoft Excel to organize sample inventory.
