Juniors, Missy, Girls, Private Label Team Experience: • Work closely with designers, creative directors, technical designers and patternmakers to develop garments and problem-solve pattern corrections. • Measure & evaluate fit samples through all stages, ensuring samples meet: required specs, garment construction requirements, workmanship standards, and follow artwork. • Participate in design hand off meetings to understand the design vision and create initial tech packs. • Take ownership of individual accounts on behalf of senior technical designer. • Conduct fittings while taking detailed fit notes. Address quality issues during the fit approval phase to develop an action plan for corrections. • Execute fit comments in a timely manner to ensure fit process stays in line with the production timeline. • Manage the product life cycle from development to fit and pre-production approval. • Inspect samples to match approvals that uphold account and brand standards. Call out issues to production team. Maintain organization of all approved fit samples from multiple accounts. • Create technical packages including: construction, measure guides, Bill of Materials, and spec sheets. • Make recommendations in collaboration with cross-functional teams on matters pertaining to specs, pattern, construction methods and techniques to improve fit, balance, and overall garment quality. • Work with overseas vendors on fit and construction, problem-solve fit issues. • Collaborate with Product Development, Design and the Production teams to ensure deadlines are met. • Create costing tech packs, development tech packs, and production tech packs in the PLM system. • Create and track samples of product life cycles for multiple accounts. • Perform design and construction research of competitors.
