Global Accessories Developer

Seasoned professional with extensive product development and production background that is seeking an opportunity to utilize my overall experience in leveraging a company to maximize their performance.  Professional skills include complete knowledge of costing, sourcing, production, calendar and timeline management, understanding of PLM software, as it relates to product development. 

•	Ensure all products and samples have achieved the construction, color, and brand standards set forth by the Product and Design teams for global and regional accessory categories.
•	Manage development and sourcing of four inline seasonal product launches while also overseeing multiple off calendar SMU’s for retail, ecommerce, and special events.
•	Create and maintain development calendars based on product launch schedule, innovation, and global partner’s needs.
•	Daily communication with Asia Sourcing office on development and cost related issues.
•	Set up and maintain PLM management system with BOM details, tech pack specifications, costing, and vendor information.
•	Drive sourcing efforts around desired pricing and product needs, negotiate costs with factories, and ensure costing meets target margin goals.


• Partner with product managers and freelance designers to create and maintain accurate designs and tech packages for 50+styles and 600+ SKUs annually that met all design and margin target goals.
• Managed overseas vendor relationships by communicating, directing and troubleshooting all product development from design to delivery of commercialized goods.
• Managed and drove the product life cycle by collaborating with sales, marketing, and operations to gather all necessary information to implement production.  This includes development schedules, product data details, global sales forecasts and delivery dates.
• Collaborated with marketing department to develop product marketing assets and packaging for new product launches.
• Worked with exclusive licensed partners to develop products for Tokidoki, Sanrio, Blizzard Entertainment, and Warner Brothers.
Successes
• Created and maintained a quality assurance manual and established testing standards as it related to all materials, trims and commercialized products.
• Helped launch first "On the Go" product category. These items included car seat canopies, car organizers and visual aids.
• Implemented standardized templates for product specifications, bill of materials, and costing.

Product Developer

• Worked closely with Product Manager to ensure the design integrity, quality, and target margins were maintained.
• Created all technical product specifications. Including but not limited to creating all CADs, BOMs, fit requirements and construction details.
• Reviewed all prototype samples from concept, sales sample, and production stages to ensure all design and quality requirements were met.
• Negotiated costing with all suppliers to achieve target margin goals.
• Developed and maintained a seasonal product calendar to meet all milestones.
• Oversaw and maintained 110 seasonal styles.
• Managed and partnered with freelance designers and packaging design consultant.

• Oversaw testing of materials to ensure all standards and requirements were met.
• Managed fabric development tracking files in order to meet the seasonal calendar.

Fabric/Trim Developer, Accessories

• Developed and managed multiple specifications for assigned products from initial concept, commercialization and final production.
• Worked closely with Design and Merchandising teams to review prototypes, confirm all constructions, and functionality as related to the original design concept.
• Sourced materials/trims.
• Negotiated costing with factories to meet or exceed target margin goals to maximize profit.
• Partnered with R&D on testing raw materials and final products to ensure quality met targeted standards.
• Managed an annual global style count of 120 styles, in addition to 65 seasonal retail and regional specific styles.

• From 2004 to 2012, Increased weighted margin from 38% to 54%.
• Established direct relationships with material and trim suppliers in order to decrease raw good costs and improve quality.
• Worked closely with regional offices to establish product quality, execution and build factory direct relationships to help grow regional specific product offerings.
• Created and published complete PLM materials and trim raw goods library.
