Creative & Design

Swimwear designer with 8 years of experience in the industry. Also have past experience in lingerie & denim design. Looking to expand my network & build connections.

• Research & forecast trends for each season
• Attend appointments with art studios, purchase artwork for textile prints & graphics
• Recolor & edit prints on Adobe Photoshop 
• Work with the graphic designers to rework prints for swimwear
• Communicate with vendors and mills overseas to source new fabrications and trims, as well as passing comments and approvals
• Create CADs & line sheets for each season using Adobe Illustrator
• Attend & assist in fittings - analyze fit and correct fit issues with patternmaker
• Work on PLM software and create BOM for new styles

Swimwear Designer

• Trend research, utilizing services like WGSN & Fashion Snoops, to compile new design details, color palette, and silhouettes for each season
• Develop mood boards and inspiration boards for new design direction
• Attend art studio appointments with designer to look for new prints and artworks for each season
• Meet with local and oversea vendors to find/develop new fabrications and hardware
• Collaborate with the Designer to come up with new silhouettes/fabrication/design details for the next season
• Use Adobe Illustrator to CAD new styles and create line sheets for each season
• Communicate with graphic designers to give direction for new prints
• Pitch and send-out new prints to oversea mills
• Work with sourcing to develop new hardware and details for new designs
• Attend & assist in fittings with pattern makers and designer
• Work on PLM software and create BOM for new styles

Associate Designer

• Trend research, utilizing services like WGSN for each season's line development
• Develop mood boards and inspiration boards for new design direction
• Attend art studio appointments with designer to look for new prints and artworks for each season
• Collaborate and brain storm with the merchandiser and sr. designer to layout and plan each season's new silhouettes & styling details
• Use Adobe Illustrator to CAD new styles for each season
• Utilize Illustrator and Photoshop to generate seamless patterns/prints and graphics
• Pitch and send-out new prints to oversea mills
• Follow up on print strike-off samples, and dupe sample yardages
• Work with sourcing team to develop new hardware and details for new designs
• Follow-up with patternmakers on new patterns and first samples
• Attend fittings with patternmakers and designer
• Process cut tickets through the sample room to prepare samples garments for meetings & presentations
• Organize sample lines for sales reps, and swim shows

Assistant Designer

• Collaborate with the creative director and productions team, and follow-up on all responsibilities
• Utilize Illustrator and Photoshop for developing and updating CADs & illustrations, tech packs, look books, style sheets, etc.
• Utilize Illustrator and Photoshop to generate seamless patterns/prints and graphics
• Develop mood boards and inspiration boards for new design direction
• Tech Pack development and revision for future and on-going productions
• Follow-up on sample development progress, receive and spec samples, keep note of changes/revisions
• Attend fittings, prepare sample garments for meetings/presentations, organize samples, etc. 
• Research and develop designs for packaging and branding materials
• Attend trade shows to source fabrics/trims, and network with various vendors and manufacturers
• Source vendors and manufacturers for fabric, hardware, trims etc.

• Collaborate with the merchandise manager and the designer, and follow-up on all responsibilities
• Utilize Illustrator and Photoshop for updating CADs, merchandising sheets, catalog pages and etc.
• Access Full-Circle to update BOMs and tech packs
• Attend fittings, prepare sample garments for meetings/presentations, organize the sample room, etc.
