I'm an artist, writer, and strategist most interested in working at the cross-section of creativity, culture, and health. I cannot bring myself to care about selling widgets. I excel at helping purpose-driven organizations and nonprofits succeed in a wildly for-profit world. 

Currently, I'm the director of brand strategy at a global diabetes nonprofit. I've led awareness, education, and fundraising campaigns for a couple diabetes nonprofits, having lived with type 1 diabetes since the age of 10. I didn't quite mean to make diabetes 150% of my life, and have also enjoyed positions overseeing brand and content strategy at a medical SaaS company (increasing already strong sales leads by 146% in less than a year), leading U.S. and Canadian marketing for an international library technology company to get them well-positioned for an acquisition by 3M and, at a subsidiary of The Home Depot, leading the communications rollout for a new healthcare plan to 15k employees while designing the company's ongoing wellness communications program. 

I write quite a bit, with a non-fiction book, a few old blogs, a podcast, and too many to count think-pieces from my 20s out in the world. My old work can be found across The Mighty, Lyfebulb, Thought Catalog, and Beyond Type 1, as well as in the German American Trade Magazine. I am currently teaching myself how to write fiction—I keep typing and deleting words that I one day intend to make a novel. Painting is my love—I'm currently in a period of a lot of mixed media abstract expressionism. I am a ham when handed a microphone and have delivered a handful of keynote speeches, been a guest on numerous panels and podcasts, and am always happy to emcee. Topics tend to center on creativity and expression, leaning wholeheartedly into multiculturalism, mental health, and living with chronic illness.

I've worked on some fun volunteer projects on the side—I was a copy editor and proofreader for several years of 826NYC student writing chapbooks, a founding member of the Atlanta International Soccer Fest to benefit SOS Children's Villages, a board member and marketing chair for The Greater Atlanta Girls' Choir, and a young leaders board member for the World Affairs Council of Atlanta. 

I grew up around the country, with the longest stints on Oahu and just outside of Seattle. I graduated from the University of Miami in Florida with a B.S. in communications focused on advertising, alongside minors in art and art history, and have been in the greater NYC area since 2016.
