Born and raised in Houston, Texas, I'm now a working artist and designer residing in Los Angeles, California. As a Texas boy at heart, I have stayed close to my roots, drawing from my life experiences growing up in the somewhat “wild and crazy” state that I call home. 

My art has had me working on a wide range of projects, engaging in art direction, graphic design, illustration, photography, spray and mix-media painting, as well as custom automotive and motorcycle painting. I like to be a part of as many different creative experiences as possible—the change of scenery keeps me engaged. Whether it's vintage imagery, vintage advertising, or old school tattoos, I take my inspiration from the things around me, past and present. 

I’ve had the privilege of being the Art Director at Caulfield Preparatory and The Sinclair Mfgrp. from 2009-2011.  Their high-end clothing lines are sold in 60+ stores, including Neiman Marcus, Revolveclothing.com, and The Blue Jean Bar. I've become well-versed in creating look books, press releases, and visual materials to represent the brand to buyers. I have also freelanced with Mossimo at Modern Amusement, producing t-shirt graphics for three seasons. In 2010, I received my BFA in Graphic Design at Otis College of Art and Design, while simultaneously working freelance, producing work for professional companies and developing personal pieces.


Head Textile Designer / Graphics - Responsible for creating original textile designs, trim development. Also, works closely with the Marketing Department on season photo shoots, look books, and special presentations. 

Textile / Graphics Design Department: 
- Takes direction from Creative Director to lead the strategic development of Textile, Trim and special collateral for seasons.

- Research resources, competitor websites, runway shows, style websites, and fashion magazines for trend inspirations

- Utilize traditional hand-sketching and painting techniques in conjunction with Photoshop, Illustrator to execute textile designs, graphics, and layouts

- Translate trend and inspirations into original designs, repeats, and color ways

- Amend and re-color prints/artwork and color ways

- Setting up textile artwork for rotary printing and digital printed fabric

- Create tech packs with detailed specifications that include printout of designs, repeats, size of repeats, special treatments, print techniques, color swatches, art placement

- Maintain design and print information in an organized electronic catalogue for easy access and reference

- Create product presentation and mood inspiration boards. 

- May present products and concepts to Merchandising.

- Tracks department printed sample and dupe yardage ensures all samples are approved in a timely manner.

- Oversees printed fabric and color approvals for all samples and dupes. Also work closely with production yardage on color approvals.

- Working with pattern makers and cutters on placing patterns for textile printed yardage

- Developing new trims and hardware, working closely with trim vendor and creating original artwork for trims and hardware

- Work collaboratively with Design Room Manager on trim costs and lead times.

- Train, mentor, and Junior Graphic Designer by offering constructive critiques and guidance

- Work with Marketing Team on photo shoots, look books, line sheets, and special presentations.

Freelance Art Director / Graphic Designer

Caulfield Preparatory (a subsidiary of THE SINCLAIR MFGRP.) was inspired by designer Vincent Flumiani’s fascination with JD Salinger’s Catcher in the Rye. The Men’s line, created by Flumiani took a fresh look at prep school boys’ attire. Upon launching the company earned the dubious recognition as one of six finalists in GQ’s 2010 Best New American Designers.  

- June 2009 – Assumed duties as Art Director , overseeing all phases of production for tees: print process, color correction, and tagging

- May 2009 – Graphic Artist on graphic tees, look books, labeling, and marketing collateral, including fine-tuning existing branding

- Liaison between clients and vendors during production

- Designed and produced all print collateral: look books, hang tags, business cards, promo cards, and invitations

- Designed Caulfield Preparatory website

Senior Art Director | Graphic Designer

Launched in 2009, THE SINCLAIR MFGRP., offered a high-end Men’s and Women’s denim line.

- Headed up creative team for identity branding, packaging collateral and all business collateral

- Managed photo shoots, bookings and location scouting, including final photo editing | retouching

- Responsible for look books, tech packs and line sheets 

- Created website design concepts | layouts, e-flyers

- Managed trade show booth layout | design and implementation
