Marketing and Business Development Intern

Lauren is an incoming senior at the George Washington University pursuing a B.A. in International Affairs with a concentration in Environmental Studies and a minor in Sustainability. Her interests lie primarily in the sustainable fashion industry and her internship experience exhibits her extensive knowledge and passion for this field. Lauren understands the science behind ethical clothing and has great marketing experience under her belt due to her numerous positions with international organizations and companies. She is currently seeking full-time positions in the industry as a sustainability manager/consultant with no problem re-locating!

• Compiled a lineup of designers to invite to the annual SFSFWI Conference in April 2020
• Conducted extensive research on the most suitable brands and designers who meet our sustainability criteria
• Communicated and established professional relationships with brand representatives for collaboration

• Coordinated event speakers and activities for chapter-wide meetings and retreats centered around the values of personal growth and professional development
• Managed a budget of $11,000 and worked with the VP of Finance to ensure chapter funds are used efficiently

• Compiled information on possible donors and the voting history of those in the district to maximize support
