• Self-Owned graphic design business creating strategic and relevant designs for a variety of clients including endurance sport brands, athletes, real estate developers, restaurants, and gaming establishments.
• Creating brand identity packages and guidelines, graphics for technical apparel, assets for print, web and social media. Providing consultation on marketing strategy and product positioning.

• Responsible for the overall design direction and creation of unique brand identity systems and assets for large master-planned communities, developments, and sports entities across the country.

• Worked in the Run category to create trend right concepts, mood boards, color concepts, materials selection, industry and competitor research, and product positioning for men’s and women’s markets.
• Responsible for product line created in partnership with New York Road Runners for the 50th Anniversary of the NYC Marathon, and London Marathon events. Organized apparel collections and oversaw tech pack details.
• Communicated with cross-category designers, product line managers, developers and merchandising teams to meet market demand, establish higher margins, and position product for maximum market exposure.

Apparel Design Apprentice

• Recruited to help establish Specialized Custom Apparel through development of brand and business strategy, art and production trainings, and apparel graphics. Lead project initiatives to enhance brand awareness and positioning. 
• Responsible for the development of new visual stories and concepts, current and future trend research, creation of graphics, tech packs, and execution of line plans for product launches.
• Utilized a deep understanding of market trends, client profiles and brand strategies to inspire the art direction of custom graphics for various Specialized elite athletes and retailers. Simultaneously carried out multiple project design cycles from concepts to pitches, revisions and final art approval while managing client communications and timelines.
• Spearheaded the concept and creation of the Specialized Custom website (specializedcustomdesignvault.com). This enabled new and more efficient processes for the art team, provided necessary customer-facing resources, and established the semi-custom capabilities that drove Specialized Custom revenue and order volume by over 50%.
• Initiated the redesign of all apparel mock-up templates resulting in an approximated 80% decrease in production errors along with significantly increasing user experience and customer satisfaction.
• Traveled to El Salvador to establish relationships with graphics and production partners. Facilitated factory team alignment through streamlined communications, meeting protocols, and production processes. Trained Specialized Custom Spain artist in proper apparel design techniques and best practices. Managed remote contract designer.
• Direct interface with sponsored athletes and teams on partnership race kit collections.
• Concept and creation of public relations event merchandise with companies such as Patagonia, REI, and Retul.

Graphic Designer, Apparel and Equipment

• Recruited to the Custom Apparel team. Worked in collaboration with sales teams, sports marketing, elite athletes, and organizations to develop custom branded and trend driven product for distribution in the US and Canada.
• Simultaneously managed multiple projects at a time in various stages of the product cycle from inception to delivery; built initial design concepts and revised graphics to meet stakeholder requirements. Provided print- proofing, color matching and artwork for approval prior to production runs. Production set-up and file uploads at the factory level to ensure proper print and construction of desired products with minimum margin of error.
• Worked with sponsored professional athletes and teams on creating their race and training kits including H&R Block Pro Cycling Team, Amy D. Race Team, professional triathletes Flora Duffy and Cam Dye, and others.
• Led the redesign of all leaders and podium jerseys for the 2015 USA Pro Challenge as well as the design of officially sponsored e-commerce and on-site event merchandise for the race.
• Traveled to trade shows like Interbike to gain relevant industry insights, research trends, speak with a variety of cycling dealers and provide information on the complete Pearl Izumi Custom product line.
