I love marketing brands, I hate marketing myself. So, here’s five quick things about me and my work. In, out, nobody gets hurt.

1. My main objective when I work a job is to tell the story of the brand. I label myself as a storyteller above all else. I share a brand’s story through social media, newsletters, web content, copywriting, press releases, advertisements, third party relationships and more. I’ve done this for brands like a wakeboarding/boating dealership, a newspaper and a concert venue.

2. I have a nit-picky brain for correct grammar, spelling and punctuation. I’m not afraid to correct you, too. In school, AP Style was particularly programmed into my brain, however, I still have a deep-seeded love for the oxford comma.

3. I began studying journalism at the University of Oregon in 2010 with a love of writing. Months before I was set to graduate, I realized that I also had a passion for marketing (and that maybe, sadly, job opportunities in written journalism were dying). So, I stuck around an extra year in order to earn my degree in journalism with a focus on public relations. To this day, I am so happy with my decision.

4. I’m fueled by the numbers. I enjoy setting statistic goals, whether it be ticket sales, social media followers or revenue. Then, I share those numbers with my team on a regular basis in order to inspire even better numbers for the next meeting. I’m also fueled by caffeinated tea, but that’s neither here nor there.

5. Since I was a kid, nature and sports have been a main focal point of my life. That’s why I decided to focus my career on that industry.  There’s just something magical about the outdoors and the incredible things we can do in it, and I want my life to be filled with that magic.

As the Finance and Investment Manager, I help boat buyers find the best loan options for them. I maintain a relationship with certain banks to ensure we have access to the best loan interest rates, and am constantly doing research to stay up-to-date on all terms and ever-changing rates. Once a loan offer is selected, I complete all of the paperwork in a timely manner to ensure AWS and the bank will get paid on time.

In addition, I work with the marketing team to send weekly newsletter campaigns to our 15k+ subscribers regarding new products, low inventory products, sales, buyer guides, how-to videos, products reviews and more. I also write descriptions for 1k+ products every year and manage web content to ensure each customer that visits our website has a fluid, user-friendly experience.

As the music marketing coordinator for all venues throughout McMenamins, I coordinated with artists/bands and bookers to determine a show offer. In order to maximize ticket sales for each show, I created and posted social media posts, delivered unique newsletters to subscribers and past ticket buyers, worked with third party supporters (like radio stations, record stores, etc.), sent press releases, coordinated print and online advertisements, and managed poster design and execution. In addition, I marketed the psychedelic music festival Sabertooth, among other special events.

Music Marketing Coordinator

Generated revenue for weekly newspaper, website and social channels through effective sales techniques. Built relationships with clients to realize goals and leverage platforms to assist in meeting those goals. Led creative direction of unique, engaging advertisements that drove readers to clients. Coordinated payment and art between client, design and accounting teams.

Account Executive

Created and maintained partnerships with local businesses to provide discounts to guests, gained two partnerships within first three months. Strategically coordinated and executed social media posts, monthly newsletters to over 40,000 guests and media professionals and bi-weekly blog posts. Designed advertisements and hotel collateral. Coordinated media and social influencer stays at hotel in exchange for coverage. Planned and promoted monthly art gallery openings.

Community Manager

Created blog, wrote and edited blog posts introducing and reviewing new product, releasing video edits and profiling athletes and events. Promoted the company brand through social media posts on Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, Pinterest, Flikr and LinkedIn. Within two years, increased social media following by over 135 percent. Constructed weekly e-mails advertising events, sales, trending ?and timely industry and local news for over 15,000 customers. Wrote copy descriptions for product and boats on website.

Marketed events like Evening with the Stars, Demo Days and Hangtime via press releases, newsletters, emails, website and social media posts. Photographed and live streamed events in order for fans to stay constantly connected to company and its events. Rad Season named Hangtime the second-best wakeboarding event of 2017.

Wrote script for the upcoming film, "Active Water Sports: The Documentary."
